My room door was left open by the hotel staff.
People who are likely to leave valuables in their room should not stay here.
The location and room quality were good, and I thought it was worth more than the price, so it's a shame.
I'll go into more detail.
I asked for a refill of shampoo first thing in the morning, locked the room, and went sightseeing.
When I returned to my room around 9pm, the door was still open.
I happened to meet the people living in the room next door, and they noticed that leaving the door open for so long was unusual and took the time to contact the front desk. Despite that, the door was still left open.
I had left my laptop and other valuables in a locked suitcase in my room.
Fortunately, nothing was stolen, but the hotel has not apologized or offered any apology since.
I have asked the front desk twice, and once by email, to contact me about the cause and future measures, but two weeks have passed and I have still not received any response.
It appears that they do not view this as a major issue.
It seems likely that there is a major problem with the hotel's management system, but as they do not seem to be recognizing this as a problem, it is unlikely that anything will be improved in the future.
This hotel does not understand that hotels serve as storage spaces for guests' property, even if only temporarily, so I would not recommend this hotel to people who want to leave items that they would be in trouble if they lose.
