Frühstück war gut. Das Personal sehr nett. Einzig der Teppichboden im Zimmer ist nicht so doll. Bad ist neu. Die Lage spitzenmäßig. Nahe an der Fuzo, nicht weit zum Marktplatz und etwas abseits - ruhige Nächte. Unbedingt im Restaurant „Black duck“ (Frühstücksraum wird im Laufe des Tages ein Restaurant) essen gehen - mega lecker. Wir mussten immer reservieren, weil ausgebucht.

Our stay at Hotel WAWEL was excellent from start to finish, and it’s rare to find a property that delivers both comfort and genuine hospitality so consistently. The 24-hour front desk was seamless and reassuring, making arrivals and late evenings effortless. Our apartment was spacious and beautifully laid out — truly generous by European standards — and immediately felt comfortable and intentional. Thoughtful details like slippers and toothbrushes were provided without needing to ask, which speaks volumes about how well the hotel anticipates guest needs. Everything felt considered: the cleanliness, the layout, the quiet, and the sense that the hotel is run with care rather than just efficiency. After long days of exploring, it was a relief to return to a space that actually allowed us to rest and reset. Hotel WAWEL strikes a rare balance between practicality and warmth, and it’s clear the team takes pride in maintaining that standard. We felt genuinely well looked after and would absolutely choose to stay here again without hesitation. Highly recommended — this is how hospitality should feel.

We booked a last minute stay at this hotel. It's perfectly located from for a City break its about 10mins from the Train station and a few minutes from the old town. The room we got was located on the 2nd floor above reception so overlooked the road. However it was so quiet we didn't hear anything from our room. The room was massive with plenty space, however the layout was probably not the best, the TV was across the other side of the room from the bed so you couldn't really watch TV in bed. Given we were English guests there was no English tv Channels available. The room was spotless. The reception staff informed us that we had to inform reception if we wanted our room cleaning which didn't bother us for 2 night stop. The breakfast is ok. Its a simple and basic breakfast. My only critisim is they didn't seem to turnover the empty dishes quick enough. It would be nice to have a kettle in the room. Instead they have a communal coffee/drink machine on the first floor. Lastly i recomend booking and making reservation at the idependently run Duck restraunt attached to the hotel. We opted to eat here both nights. The food was fabulous and a great way to try polish food!

Great location just off the main square. Clean, comfortable and friendly atmosphere. The breakfast was fresh and tasty and the young lady on reception was extremely helpful.

The staff were very friendly and very accommodating. And there is someone at the front desk 24/7 which is very convenient. The room I stayed in was very cute, quaint and had everything I needed. Bathroom was clean, in good working condition with instant hot water and stocked with body wash and shampoo. The breakfast is included. There is a very good coffee machine in a common area, with fantastic espresso, free refillable water tanks and a sitting area. Very clean, quaint and comfortable hotel. Great location too. There’s even a nice restaurant at the hotel. I would definitely stay here again when I visit in a free months.

The hotel was located perfectly for us to get into the old quarter and to visit various places of interest. The breakfast was fantastic and on the day that we had to be up early for a tour, they made us a packed lunch to take away with us as we would miss breakfast, which was excellent. The staff were all so friendly and our room was clean and comfortable. Our thanks to all the hotel staff.

Very nice hotel. Old building but still modern and neat interior. Good location close to a lot. Breakfast is ok. The only downside I noticed was that the elevator did not go to the top floor.
