Start with positive thing so breakfast was good with view. Staff was helpful at the breakfast table. Cons: Beds were so uncomfortable and made me itchy all night. Rooms were so humid and small. I accidently booked a hotel with shared bath option which wasn't on title when booking with expedia. So make sure not to chose that option especially if you are couple or with kids.

The staff was very nice. Enjoyed our stay very much. View from our balcony was outstanding. So beautiful. Definitely recommend waking up to watch the sunrise . The finicular was easy to get to and take bus 1 to old town Lucerne. Same back. Was great. The only thing I can think of was supper meal was to expensive for us to afford .

A bit of commute to the property if you on your feet but the views are worth it. Room was clean, views from balcony were amazing, breakfast was a top notch! Staff was very friendly and left me the option for self check in. Our best stay in Lucern!

The views and hospitality of the hotel went way beyond my expectations. Breakfast was delicious and the Sonnenberg ride was very enjoyable and cute. The visitor pass that was shared with us was also very convenient for free public transportation and discounted museum tickets!

Hotel Sonnenberg has amazing views and is wonderfully quiet and peaceful. The grounds are really lovely and walkable - complete with great playground. We really enjoyed dinner at the restaurant which had both great meat and vegetarian options.

Quite possibly the best breakfast view I’ve ever had at an hotel. We woke on our 1st of 3 nights to the stunning view looking up to Mount Pilatus & across the Lucerne valley. Just amazing views on the terrace wherever you looked. Our room was fine, everything that we needed, breakfast was pleasant can order eggs to your liking. There’s mini golf onsite too. Yes the hotel is about 15 mins out of town, but very much worth it just for the views that change during the day.

Hotel Sonnenberg is super!

Hotel Sonnenberg was very clean and its location on the hill provided wonderful views, even though it rained the whole timescale were there. The breakfast was excellent and the staff members were all so helpful with helping us with directions, figuring out transportation, etc. I highly recommend this hotel and even better if you have a vehicle, as it’s a bit outside of Lucerne. Still manageable even if you don’t have a vehicle, though, with Uber in to town.
