Kroměříž is a small town in Moravia situated between Olomouc, Brno and Přerov.

It's relatively untravelled and off the beaten track, despite its UNESCO World Heritage Site status, thanks to the gardens and castle. I would definitely recommend a day trip or overnight stop if you're in the vacinity.

Flower garden in Kroměříž. Late autumn wasn't the best time to visit, and I think it would be amazing in late summer/early autumn. Nevertheless, it's a beautiful garden that needs around an hour to walk through.

The garden represents a transition between late renaissance Italian gardens and classical baroque gardens of the French type, such as the one in Versailles.
