We spent the last evening of our Albanian road trip adventure in the city of Kruje. Not only were we super lucky with the accommodation (make sure to check out Panorama Hotel - awesome value for money) but we were also rewarded with epic sunset. The view of the mountains and the castle in Krujë were even more spectacular as the sun set over the little town. For a view like this ask for a balcony facing the castle at the Hotel Panorama in Krujë, Albania or have dinner in the hotel's dining room. A delicious dinner and this beautiful view. I can't think of a better way to end our first day in Albania. #GoldenHour
The first morning of our amazing trip to Albania and I was up at 6:20 am. But what a view of the mountains from our hotel balcony in Kruje to make the early wake-up worth it. For this view (and more views to come in other photos I'm going to post on Trover) ask for a room with a balcony facing the castle at the Hotel Panorama in Kruje.
The Krujë Castle was the fortress that helped George Kastrioti Skanderbeg defend Albania from the Ottoman troops that attacked it three times, in 1450, 1466 and 1467, but failed each time. Not only did Skanderberg stop the Ottomans from taking control of Albania, but maybe stopped them from controlling all of Europe. The castle museum is one of the better we have visited. Definitely worth the visit and the shopping streets below the castle are a treat to walk through.

Das Maritim Plaza ist architektonisch zweifellos ein Highlight. Es ist sehr zentral gelegen und von den oberen Etagen hat man einen tollen Blick über die Stadt.
