Location is strategic, walking distance to shops and restaurants. Downstairs is a pub operate till late night and the music is annoying

It's a very good hotel. It was a very convenient location as it was close to the waterfront and there were many restaurants and shops. The front desk of the hotel was very helpful, and we were able to store our luggage during check-in and check-out. I would like to stay at this hotel again next time.

An excellent hotel to stay with a reasonable price

The location is good. It's a 10-min walk to the water front. There are a lot of restaurants around the hotel. The staff in the hotel is amazing and makes you feel that you are welcomed. The room is pretty spacious and clean. I will definitely stay here again if I visit Kuching in future. Highly recommended.

Good location if you like walking around old shops area, there are quite many food options around the area. Hotel staffs are friendly and helpful. Good housekeeping, was surprised and impressed to receive a hand-written thank you note from housekeeping staff Ela for thanking our long stay there and checking out that we were satisfied with the service. Would love to stay again in this hotel if were to visit Kuching again.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. The ambience were pretty good and most importantly quiet despite it's location in the middle of the city. I love their breakfast buffet with lots of good food and kinda yummy for the bnb price offered. Well known places for visiting are walkable and easy to get grab which i find also quite cheap fare around Kuching. And I am certainly will return to this hotel again in the future. Recommended

Excellent location, walking distance to diners, grocery stores and seafood joint. It's in a local neighborhood, amazing vibe, you can walk around and explore. Staff are very friendly and helpful, always smiling. However the hotel facility is fairly old. Rooms are very humid (towels never dry, even quilt are kinda wet). Not sound proof, we woke up by either club music or people talking in the hallway..) But it's cheaper so I guess this is what we paid for, the price also tells you about Malaysia's inflation if you haven't been there in a few years.

Toilet door not friendly require better improvement. When using the toilet bowl always hit the toilet door. Toilet bowl area, the floor require better wash. Got urine smell. Overall is comfortable stay hotel & clean.

There is room for improvement on inter-floor and inter-room noise. Power sockets are faulty. Lighting in the bathroom should be made brighter. Otherwise, it is quite a great hotel and value for money. I would consider to stay in this hotel again in my next visit to Kuching.

A good stay!

We stayed at Meritin hotel as part of our longer journey across Malaysia and Borneo. For a stay in Kuching we can happily recommend Meritin hotel, as it maintained a high standard in most aspects. The price was quite good in regards to its high standards. Positives: - Good location, close to the city centre and walking distance to the waterfront. - Clean and fresh room! This is one of the highest standards I’ve seen in Malaysia so far in terms of room standards (cleaning wise). - Very helpfull and friendly staff! They helped us with everything we wanted and made sure we had a good stay. - High speed wifi Negatives: - Although they had breakfast available, they had quite few options. It’s not the biggest deal in world, but if you’re a big breakfast person I suggest to book without breakfast and find something better in town. Early breakfast was not available. Overall a very good stay thanks to the helpfull and friendly staff and good standards of the rooms. Highly recommended for a stay in Kuching!

Meritin hotel is good. the only not good is the hotel.com services is not what they promise regarding Cashback. 0 % instead of 5 % during early booking. So avoid using hotel.com when you want to book online
