Nice budget hotel
We booked a family room and on arrival, there was no room available as another guest had extended his stay. Staff were very helpful and we were put in a small windowless room. The aircon worked well but the room could have done with a clean.
We were moved to another room the next morning only after I insisted that I wanted a room I had seen vacant. It was less than I had paid for but seemed okay.
However, on closer inspection once inside the room, the toilet had a leak. They came in to fix it twice. The shower worked well with great water pressure.
The clean towels were stained and could do with some bleach.
The wifi signal in the room was strong enough for three people to be online at the same time.
There is no wifi in the reception area, so print out your booking reference beforehand. If you need to print anything the Margherita hotel, down the road will print a page for RM1.
The hotel should not claim to be a business hotel when it operates more like a low budget one with higher prices.
Would I recommend this hotel? If you don't mind bringing your own towels and amenities, sure. If you just need a place to sleep and store your luggage while you explore Kuching, sure.
