This is truly a bare bones accommodation. Pictures posted by property are accurate so just know they have no frills. The place did grow on me after a short while. Funky outside entry, lighting was scavenger hunt for switches and we walked in dark hallways to the upper floor where is was bright with sun roof. Elevator was out, so had to climb stairs with luggage in tow. Bed was a platform style yet surprisingly comfortable. Towels were gray from age and usage but clean. Good location with free parking in street. Included breakfast actually turned out nicely with all the usual offerings and a great coffee machine!

It rained very hard while we were there and the roof dripped into our room. There was a huge puddle almost slipped in. They do not speak English which made things harder. The checkin and getting your key seems self explanatory but yet it isn’t and doesn’t work. The breakfast they have tongs but no one uses them. There was only one pastry. If you like hot dogs or sausage I guess you are good

There is the potential for noise from neighbouring rooms and the corridor as the doors are heavy and there are wooden floors. The breakfast was plentiful. The car park is very secure albeit away from the hotel. Easy walking distance to restaurants and the centre of the beautiful town.

The Billa grocery store is closer than it seems on the map, and if you walk up Lorecka street ,within 8 minutes you will reach a left turn path that leads to the modern stone circle. It's on a hill and it's a great place to watch the sunrise before breakfast and to take some photos. Breakfast was good. Atmosphere of the dining room was really great. Like a cabin in the mountains. Easy walk to the centre of things.

We really liked the safe parking place of the hotel, and the boys even got a free shot in the bar, which was a nice gesture. They serve local beer too, we tasted it willingly. The hotel is nice, as well as our rooms were just fine for our little group. Billa is within 100 meters which is very useful. The staff's English is not that strong, but they are nice. I would recommend Hotel Kréta with pleasure, it was perfect for discovering this little gem, Kutna Hora, and also a good base for a trip to Prague.
