“If you want to take a step off the beaten track in Japan this is a very good option. The hotel is situated in a very good place to explore the Kyoto on Sea area (this is not Kyoto city). The Hotel will send a minibus at certain times of day to pick new visitors up from the railway station. The hotels offers visitors free bike hire for 4 hours and is relatively close to the bus route for exploring other parts of the area. As this is not a city you are limited in the immediate area for places……

“青年旅館本身還不錯，樓下有餃子的王將，附近有Fresco超市，吃宵夜或買點心飲料都很方便。只是到各景點都一定要轉車(巴士&地鐵 或巴士&電車)，所以會多花半小時交通時間。”

“We didn't know that we could occupy the whole house when we booked this place. It was a great experience to live in a local Japanese's place. We rented this place for the 4 of us and it was very comfortable. The house was very close to the local subway station and actually located between the train tracks, which was very convenient. However, I would not recommend this house to light sleepers since the running trains could get fairly noisy at night. The host also provided us a portable WIFI but……

“Surely a great choice for vacation. Spacious, enough for 4 people. Modern design with open kitchen. Love the big bathroom (with bathtub!) and toilet which are connected. Can choose to sleep on beds or tatami as there are plenty extra mattresses. Supermarket within 5-min walk. The owners greeted us warmly when check in and stayed connected during our stay. Everything is fine — would have been perfect if there is a television.”
