## Emplacement
Once a fishing village, La Flotte is now a must-see stopover on your discovery of the Ile de Ré, classified "Most Beautiful Villages of France" for its heritage and its remarkable architecture, its narrow and flowery alleys, its medieval-inspired market and the charm of its port. The unique charm of the market will make you succumb. Built in 1804 and inspired by medieval architecture, this picturesque market is reminiscent of the halles of the past. A magnificent paved courtyard lined with stalls covered with wooden lean-tos, a well used to stand in its center. Today, local producers and merchants are busy every morning from 9am to 1pm offering visitors a selection of local products, fruit and vegetables, meat and fish.
