“Family Affair” is an enormous 5,000 square foot home with 14 beds (7 of which are King size beds). The lake house is located right on the water's edge!!! The entire house with all amenities are strictly yours to enjoy, this includes a huge private double level dock with two covered boat slips and a swim platform. The private boat ramp (for the gated community only) is only about 50 yards from house, so putting your boat in and out will be easy. Family Affair is about a five minute boat ride to the famous 'jumping bridge' and about six minutes to ski water.. Family Affair is ideal for family gatherings or entertaining large groups. Both kitchens are equipped with granite counter tops, refrigerators, dishwashers, stoves, ovens, and microwaves. With 8 bedrooms, 5.5 baths, plus four private vanities with sinks and mirrors (in four of the bedrooms), this huge house can accommodate up to 26 guests in beds. (7 king, 4 Twin, 4 full)
Located on an acre lot with more than 150 feet of private water frontage, “Family Affair” is built right on the lake shore as close to the lake as the Tennessee Valley Authority will allow. It has three furnished walkout decks overlooking a tranquil swimming cove where family and friends can float in the sun with no worry of speeding boats or big waves. The lowest of these three decks has a secluded 8 person hot tub for taking in the lake scenery while your relaxation is taken to a whole new level.
Take the steps from the lowest of the three walkout decks to your own private fire pit on the water’s edge. A good late night fire is a perfect way to end the evening next to the lake while telling everyone about your day at the jumping bridge (five minutes away by boat).
Finally, just a short distance from the fire pit, is one of the biggest private docks on the lake. The dock has two covered slips for your boats, two personal watercraft drive up docks, and a sunning deck. The second level of the dock is a gigantic 31’ x 31’ platform that sits 10 feet above the water. It’s a great place to play corn hole, take in the surrounding sites, or just relax in the sun.
“Family Affair” is located in Lakeside Estates, a gated community a few miles from I-75 and minutes from the city of LaFollette. You couldn't ask for a better location. The cove, where “Family Affair” is located, is a short boat ride to Sugar Hollow Marina, Shanghai Marina, and Springs Resort. These locations are conveniently close, but still far enough away as not to interfere with the tranquility and isolation of this wonderful lake home. Norris Lake is a boater's utopia spanning 5 Tennessee counties with more than 800 miles of shoreline. After 18 years of boating on Norris Lake, there are still many areas we have yet to explore. Norris Lake has over 20 marinas with fuel, food, and entertainment. These are great places to have a drink, watch the game, and to people watch. Many of these marinas have great food, especially fish dinners. If you haven't eaten the striper from Norris Lake you are missing what a lot of people consider the best tasting fish anywhere. The huge two level, two slip covered dock allows you to boat and fish most anytime of the year!! Many houses in coves loose their water in the early fall when the lake is lowered and by mid September these homes can NOT be accessed by water. Typically, Family Affair can be accessed by water, even though it is in a tranquil cove, this is unique!! If you plan on boating or fishing after September or before April please let us know and we will get the current lake level for you to MAKE SURE the water level is acceptable for any planned activities.
