I was very disappointed with my recent stay at this “new” property. I had a quick overnight business trip with a late check-in. Upon arrival, I noticed the elevator floor was dirty and sticky, but I overlooked it given the late hour. The first room I was assigned had an unpleasant odor and visible hair in both the bathroom and bedroom. I requested to be moved, and the front desk agent accommodated the request. However, the second room—while smelling better—had even more hair in the bathroom and dog hair all over the couch. By that time, I was too tired to request another change, but I did take photos to document the condition. When I left to purchase cleaning supplies, the front desk agent remarked, “I’m not sure what you were talking about in that first room—we only found one hair.” This was inaccurate, and even if true, such a statement is not reassuring to a guest. I cleaned the second room myself. The bed was comfortable and appeared clean, but in the morning I discovered ants both in the bed and on the dresser. I specifically chose this La Quinta based on reviews praising its cleanliness—something I unfortunately did not experience during my stay.
