I never got a feedback form about my call to Expedia. This hotel is closed. I called the Saturday before my reservation concerned that I couldn’t contact the hotel. I was told not to worry, that I would be taken care of. When I got to La Jolla the hotel was closed. I made this reservation in November because I was attending Comic Con and I knew hotels would be booked. When I contacted Expedia about the hotel being closed I was given terrible alternatives while being told “there is a convention in town”. The first hotel I was offered was across the border in Mexico! I was forced to sleep on someone’s floor and still have not received my refund. I doubt I will ever use Expedia again and have been sure to tell everyone how terrible my experience has been. There are many other options for booking online and I will make sure to try others before ever coming back to Expedia.

Parking is difficult because you are on the beach but the hotel is cute and comfortable. Staff is very nice. Would definitely stay again

Bad smell and worn out.

Smells of mold, grunge carpet, torn and worn shower curtain and marginal bedding sets the unpleasant stage for room one can not wait to depart. Bring slippers and don't let your bare feet touch the floor.

Close to beach and town

Decor in reception very tired not an inspiring advert for hotel. Room clean bed linen clean but carpets and chairs stained and in need of replacing. Bathroom sink plug hole rusty water didn’t stay in sink. We were there for 2 nights and room was not cleaned dirty cups not replaced nor was the coffee machine replenished. We got a deal and very pleased we paid no more than we did. Very disappointing.

La Jolla Inn

We got stuck staying an extra day. So I went on my homeaway app, and booked this stay because it was close. I wish I never would have. It is not a bed and breakfast. Its a hotel with tiny smelly rooms and offer an apple and granola bar as their breakfast It is extremely over priced of the size and service you get. Please take them off your site! It does not meet the standards held by your site and the standards held by homeaway.

Steps to Cove, lovely staff, needs updating!

This hotel could be a five star rated hotel because it is steps from the Cove, with some rooms looking at the Cove, and the staff and GM are just lovely; great customer service, going above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable as they can. But, that is the point: the condition of the hotel is out of the staff's and GM's control and it needs updating desperately!

Great location and staff

The staff was so accommodating and helpful it was a pleasurable stay. This is more of a European style hotel without a lot of extras but they treat you well and offer a good value. I will stay there again.

European Cosey room with good views of LaJoya

Front desk people were friendly and helpful. Room was Cosey and warm. The location is great. Fantastic food in walking distance and the ocean within 1/2 block. Free parking by the Inn. Within 20 miles around there is endless things to do. It was great place for a couple. Very reasonable rates. Thanks for our stay.

Perfect for my needs

I was on a short business trip and this hotel was the perfect fit. Affordable close to the best restaurants and shops. The Front Dest Attendant was sweet. Plenty of on street parking. I will definitely stay here again.

Close to the Cove and shops but parking several blocks away is quite disturbing. $20 for parking and substandard wi-fi not sufficient.

Yuck!

Came for the deck. So disappointed. Dirty, a few pieces of furniture that looked like a garage sale, trash and empty bottles. Couldn't sit there at all. Room as pictured, but lousy TV, list fridge and running toilet did not make for a nice stay. Receptionist was nice.

Hotel needs updating. I had no hot water the first day I checked in, so for going out that night I had to was my hair in the sink with cold water, the next day they said it was fixed but not until the afternoon so no shower again that morning, that evening when I returned it was fixed for a night shower, but in the morning before checking out they had no hot water again. And I haven’t even mentioned that my T.V wasn’t working. Would not recommend La Jolla In very disappointing.

On the water, but a dirty hotel with broken things

The staff are great, hands down. However, several items in my room were broken. The sink had actually dirt/dust all over it. You also may have to pay for parking if you cannot find a spot on the street; this is not mentioned on their website at all. You'd think with the dirty room and the broken towel rack, broke tv stand, remote control that only had a few buttons that worked, they would have offered some sort of a refund, like on the parking.

Great Management, The Only Place To Stay

Well greeted always very time we stay. Great location in the middle of town, shops, restaurants, gallery's, and much more push the . Watch the Sun Set on the Top of the building or down at the Cove.
