The house was amazing. We went on a golf trip to play Torrey Pines. There were 3 couples and everyone had plenty of room to themselves. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need and the communication with the host was so easy. We had no complaints!

Beautiful view. Quiet neighborhood.

The home is pretty and suitably furnished and the view is amazing. We had 2 elderly family members 80+ and requested early check-in. The best they could do was 3pm, 1 hour before. Check out however, is 10am which seems on the early side. Also, hot water was intermittent in showers. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Odd half moon shaped driveway - created parking limitations; 2 bedrooms open to each other so offered no privacy for two family members; poor cleaning (4 inches of drain hair, skylight cowebs/flies; porch glass partitions dirty; hot tub dirty); cavernous - every sound echoes; light switches everywhere with no logic (up is off, down is on or vice versa) and poor lighting in bathrooms to put on makeup; water is weak with temperature issues; wifi intermittent; too many communicators (one is automated, others are people); hot tub never worked with no resolution, no water glasses, no salt (which is a basic staple). I hope I have identified things that the property manager can address. The view from the house is spectacular. The art in the house is interesting. Our family had a great time seeing San Diego and watching sunsets. The owner of the home is someone who has given much to the world.

The view at this property is breath taking Beds are amazing with plenty of space and privacy. Pool and Hot Tub we very relaxing and clean. Hot Tub needs water added every day but hose is right there. The house is clean with a great layout. it is dated and the lights are quirky. Master Bedroom is amazing needs sink drain stoppers as we did almost lose a piece of jewelry down one. Plenty of space to play games and watch TV

Great for families!

We had a relaxing stay at this property. It's perfect for a family vacation with tiny kiddos. The open layout made it easy to relax and spend time together, and the heated pool was a highlight for everyone. The home was clean (minus a few dirty dishes likely from prior guests) and has a beautiful view of San Diego. We didn’t have contact with the property manager after check-in, but overall we didn’t really need assistance. Would recommend for families with kiddos looking for a peaceful, scenic getaway.

It was great! Huge house that felt more like a family home than a VRBO. It has a 90s vintage vibe. The views are stunning. Master bedroom and lowest level bedroom are not enclosed so put your guests in there and keep the room with enclosed walls for yourself.

Beautiful and relaxing but with caveats

We loved the property, some amenities, location, view, pool/spa, rooms, showers etc and had a wonderful family vacation. The key caveats were around privacy - the master bedroom has no separating wall between another large bedroom and the living room...where the only viable TV was - essentially leaving our teens a front row seat to listen in to the master bedroom. Little visibility, but AWKWARD. We should have taken a guest bedroom. Also, many items were old and in disrepair, like stereo, exercise equipment, TV's (except 1). The spa was difficult to use consistently but worked great once you got it going.

This home was one of the best that l've had the opportunity to stay in. Magnificent view of La Jolla and ocean. All the amenities are current. Property manager was very responsive. Would definitely stay here again.

Location and Views Spectacular

Rented home for 3 nights to celebrate a 40th birthday party. 5 couples stayed in the home. Location and views are spectacular, with ocean views from virtually every room in the house. Rental management company was helpful in pre-stocking the kitchen with groceries, as well as recommending a personal chef to hire during our stay and massage therapists to provide in-home services. While the homes decor is a bit dated, the beds and linens used were very, very good. While the kitchen is a bit small, it is very well appointed and has everything you need to prepare large meals. It's important to note that two of the five bedrooms are somewhat open with the master bedroom being an open loft over-hanging another bedroom/gym below. Since our group consisted of close friends, this open lay-out did not bother us. Only complaint I have is in respect to the size of the house. It is listed as nearly 6,000 square feet, yet tax records confirm it is just under 5,000 square feet. Overall, this is a wonderful home and highly recommended for families.

This house has it all!! The views from every window are magnificent, and the sunsets are breathtaking!! It's so spacious , my family of 9 all had plenty of their own space, and bathroom. Minutes from everything, makes it so easy to do whatever you want. The owner made renting this house a breeze, no hassles. She was very a accomadating with all our needs, right down to assuring our groceries were delivered. I would not hesitate to recommend this rental to all my friends. Great House!

Strongly recommend this breathtaking ocean view house, nice and big bedrooms are also fit in multi-families stay. Only take 5-minute drive to La Jolla coast area, and town center. Our family with three others spent a wonderful three-day Thanksgiving vacation in the Sunset Villa. As we first got in, the amazing ocean view was even better than what we saw in the commercial photo gallery. Every room has its own style with unique viewing perspective. This house is fully facilitated with various entertainment equipment from standard item like pool, workout station, BBQ equipment, to even electronic piano. We had great time with parties and self-cooking, they got everything we need. It was awesome to dine together while enjoying the nice view outside, we did BBQ, hot pot, and kids were even happier than us playing in the swimming pool. Kids enjoyed the creative toys as we adults had fun of playing board games. If you do like reading, the library in this house contain numerous collections for all age. The manager, Jennifer, is really a nice person and truly considerate. She is always reachable whenever we had a question about this house. We did feel like home with her help. We never regret our choice of Sunset Villa. It will be our first choice staying in La Jolla in future! If you wanna spend a good time with your families while relaxing from the cities, don't miss out this one.

The Crew and I decided to rent out a vacation home for the San Diego Jazz Fest weekend and although we forgot to check how far the home was from the venue(22 miles) it did not matter......This property..... "SIMPLY AMAZING". The views....."SIMPLY AMAZING". The neighborhood......"SIMPLY AMAZING". The décor......"SIMPLY AMAZING"....oh and the owner....."SIMPLY AMAZING". Needless to say, We will definitely be back.. and let me just say this one more time THE VIEW from every single room in the house....."SIMPLY AMAZING"
