They CANCELLED my rental WHILE TRAVELING although repeated correspondence with the Redwood Hollow Cottages associates that I was a mother traveling with her two young children needing and addressing safety and accessibility concerns. Accessibility was denied the first night due to the aforementioned and the time of night accessing an associate because our flight arrived late; hence, we were stranded the first night having to make spontaneous alternative accommodations while keeping my young childrens’ spirits up in an unfamiliar town. The replacement property lacked satisfaction fulfilling my top two concerns and caused my incredibly cherished vacation with my children to be completely jeopardized. I’m safely home now, yet you ruined memories and life that cannot be replaced; I hope you and your associates are proud of yourselves for the,“…work” you do…,”.

Great property, we loved being able to walk to the La Jolla tide pools and some nice restaurants nearby. The bathroom is a bit smaller than it appears in photos but overall the cottage was very clean and comfortable!

Beautiful grounds, great location near the ocean and a world-class contemporary art museum, easy and secure entry, immaculate and well laid out room with all the furnishings and kitchen equipment needed. In general, very well thought out and maintained. Looking forward to returning.

We absolutely think the property is unique and great! On previous visits we have stayed in one and two bedroom cottages, but this time we had to stay in Sea Gate which is a studio unit! It was the last unit available for our stay. It is very "adorable" and visually peaceful and quiet as well. But it is quite small and it is really only that which causes me to give it four stars instead of five. It was difficult to get into or out of bed....that kind of small. But if we were going there again, and if it was the only unit available, we would still stay there. That's how much we like Redwood Cottages.

We enjoyed the property and how well-cared for it was. We were able to walk around and “discovered” the greenhouse. Our toddler loved it! We stayed in Whispering Sands and liked the homey feel. It was not too noisy and we were able to relax. The beach and restaurants were easily accessible by walking which we did. All in all, we will definitely love to return and stay longer.

Unique cottages of all sizes, lush landscaping and very quiet overall. Nicely appointed with all one needs for a comfy stay. Adorable setting.
Complicated online reservation system.
Some definite quirks(office closed on Sunday but Welcome book says they are open everyday). No one onsite after 5:00pm. No instructions on how to run the a/c or coffee maker.
The ceiling fan only worked when bedroom light was on. No window screens

Very cosy cottage with charms.
Certainly not a luxury resort but doesn’t want to be. My cottage consisted even of 2 huts with a kind of private garden. The second hut was furnished just with a coutch but how cosy….
Situation in La Jolla is perfect. 3 minutes walk to the sea, 5 minutes to restaurants and a supermarket.
I recommend it and would come back again if I eber have the chance to visit La Jolla again.

Amazing trip, with lots of wonderful memories
It was amazing. The cottage was clean and very well equipped with everything you might need. The location in la jolla has been very nice as well. The cottage staff gave recommendations to which places to go and so on. It was just wonderful!
