Amazing staff. Thank you thank you. Very very kind people. Room was perfect. Everything went without a glitch. I truly enjoyed my stay there. It was perfect. And I enjoyed having my morning coffee with the cat of the house (I am an animal person and you can ask the cat to stay away if you’re not an animal person which we respect — the cat understand that well).

my double en-suite room was small.clean, serviced every day, staff very friendly, helpfull. The hotel is a 20 mins walk to the centre of La Rochelle.The price per night at £67 would have been fair. if breakfast had been included

Hôtel Savary is a little jewel located in a quiet corner of La Rochelle. The staff here is unfailingly helpful, pleasant, and solicitous. The shoreline is an easy walk away, as is a boulangerie and charcuterie. The old city is a longer walk, perhaps 2 kilometers, along a beautiful avenue. My room, with terrace, was very comfortable. A park, and church with extraordinary bells, are nearby. I recommend this hôtel very highly.

This hotel was poorly run and my room hadn't been checked because the toilet wouldn't flush and The water continued to leak until turned off. The rail under the sink was broken. The phone didn't work, and the air conditioning was impossible to work. The decor and carpet was tired and unatteactive. There was no 24 hour reception. Guests returning at night had to use a code to get through the side door. Complained in the morning. Demanded another room and reimbursement for the night. The manager owner instead cancelled ny 3 night stay and electronically refunded my booking. Went to an Ibis. Much better.

Petit hôtel bien situé

Hôtel 2 étoiles propre, situé à 20 minutes à pied à peine du vieux port et de son Casino. Mieux vaut réserver sa place de parking car peu de place pour se garer dans les alentours. L'hôtel dispose d'un parking fermé et d'un parking ouvert Literie correcte. Salle de bain également. Petit déjeuner bon rapport qualité prix sucré/salé.

2 étoiles mais surtout pas plus !

Entre le fait que l'hotel ferme l'accueil à 20h30, qu'il ne dispose pas d'ascenseur pour accéder aux chambres et que la première impression quand on rentre dans la chambre c'est d'être dans un hotel des quartiers chauds d'amsterdam, c'est difficile de donner un avis trés favorable. Je ne parle même pas de la salle de bains équipée d'une douche qui coule plus sur les côtés que par les trous prévus à cet effet, ou de la télé qui est aussi grande que l'écran de mon portable c'est limite improbable en 2023..

Fine for one night

This place is fine if you're just passing through La Rochelle, but I would not stay here for a longer trip. Our bathroom sink was really slow and would just leave dirty water sitting in it, and the mirror was really greasy. Doors are very thin and you can hear everything happening in the corridor. The receptionist was not very service minded, just saying she couldn't do anything about it. She did clean the mirror though :) Would probably look for something else next time.
