It was easily accessible and not hard to find. Room smelled, bedding had hair in it and I found bugs in the sheets believed to be hatchling roaches. Did not notice until well after the stay, but I was charged my agreed upon rate through Expedia, and the motel charged me as well, almost doubling the agreed upon price. If I had known that, I would have stayed at a much nicer hotel and avoided the issues.

I loved this stay, and is by far my preferred hotel in the area. I go every couple of months to see my family in Lafayette, and this will now be my go to hotel for all of my visits.

Very bad roooms

This property was terrible. Ceiling falling In. Bathroom dirty. Bedspread had holles in it and sheets had dirty stains. Holes in wall.Terrible experience. Teied to upload pics but would not let me at all. I def have pics that need to be seen

There were a lot of stains on the sofa, carpet and in the fridge. As our previous stay in October 2023 was great, we booked this hotel again but was disappointed.

Clean but Poorly Maintained – We Left a Day Early What We Liked: Bananas at breakfast were fresh and probably the best part of the “continental” offering. On a lighter note — no roaches, no mold. So that’s something! What Went Wrong: In the first room, the tub wouldn’t plug — so no one could take a bath. Not a big deal for everyone, but frustrating for families traveling with kids. Staff moved us to another room where the AC worked, but leaked water all over the floor. We had to request towels to mop it up ourselves. Meanwhile, the AC made loud grinding noises like it was on the verge of blowing up. The refrigerator added to the noise with a constant hum. Thankfully, we brought box fans from home, which helped us sleep through it. When we asked for extra blankets, we were told we’d have to wait — because the only set of supply keys was off-site with another employee. We didn’t get blankets until the middle of the night. Breakfast was nearly nonexistent — stale muffins and little else. If you’re counting on a hot or hearty meal, you’ll need to head elsewhere. The noise and discomfort finally pushed us to leave a day early. Unfortunately, we were still charged for the night we didn’t stay, with no offer of compensation. This place has potential — the staff was polite and the room was at least clean — but poor maintenance, excessive noise, and a lack of basic service made the stay miserable. Until significant improvements are made, I’d recommend staying elsewhere.

New Iberia Super 8

we arrived around 8ish pm after long drive, husband needed to use restroom. Girl who came out couldn't get him key to restroom and then during check in she had to go see someone upstairs to get answers about our checking in. All this time my husband is dancing around needing to pee. Gather she was home from school and her parents and sister ran the hotel. Which never saw anyone but her. Nice lobby but rooms need new bedding and nearest ice machine didn't work so had to go to Lobby for ice. And breakfast....worst breakfast I have every had! Thawed out frozen waffles, 1 cereal and small muffins that were terrible. No juices. I've had better grab and go breakfasts than this. It was OK for a quick over night stay (passing through) and was close to the Tabaco Museum, which is where we went next day. We got what we paid for since it was a lower priced hotel.
