"I couldn't contact the host or find Malaya House but it was on Google maps in an area with a maze of footpaths and other resorts. Then I recognized the 2nd floor verandah from a photo in Wotif. I met the cleaners there by chance who gave me the key and I never saw anyone else again. It's near the entrance to the Panorama Boutique hotel & Beach Club. They should put "Malaya House" on the gate. I walked straight past it the first time. After that I found the place to have a kitchen with a counter...

The beach. The people you can befriend on the private island. Nothing was ever an issue. They treat you just like family."

"The hotel was amazing. We stayed in Studio 2 and the view was incredible. The room and facilities were brilliant. The staff were really friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to help. The view and location is amazing. The hotel is set on the hillside, but they offer free lifts up and down from the main road which was really helpful."

"This place was absolutely stunning! Everything about it was perfect. The bungalows were all situated around pools and had a very zen feeling to them. The spa was very relaxing. The restaurant was clean, the food was really good and the staff was great. Although its in walking distance to the town square, they offer free tuktuk's to bring you there and pick you back up. The staff, even after we checked out, were truly kind and offered a private room for us to use while we waited 3 hours before heading to the airport to go back to Manila. This is the first place we have ever been to that was completely perfect! We thank Cadlao Resort for the experience."

"Charlie’s El Nido was an absolute gem. It’s not on the water but it is only a 5 minute drive to the nearest beach and very close to the airport. The pool was crisp, the facility was well maintained and the rooms were great. We did have a suite but still, what we had was quite nice. Especially compared to some other properties around the area. My extended Filipino family also loved their breakfast stating it was very good. They offered a variety of Filipino classics along with pancakes and eggs for a more westernized (American) breakfast. We will definitely consider Charlie’s again for a return visit."
