"The hotel has been recently renovated to an excellent standard. Our room was immaculate, with plenty of space, a balcony with comfortable lounge chair, and the usual coffee table and two chairs. The adult pool was our preferred place - much quieter than the main pool. The breakfast as others have said has been excellent with plenty of choice every day. The a la carte restaurant is totally worth it. The food at the bar and the restaurant was also amazing even though we only tried a few things and spent most of our evenings visiting local restaurants - you will be spoilt for choice. Carvoiero has plenty of great options but also worth venturing further out to Portimão or Faro if you have a car. There is a 7km hiking trail right at the hotel's doorstep on top of the cliffs passing by beautiful coves, Benagil and a number of viewpoints. Make sure you wear proper shoes and apply plenty of sunscreen as there is very little shade on the trail. If you want to do it, make sure you have an early breakfast and make a start before 9 am so you can cover most of it while the temperatures are still manageable. The service was impeccable. We found all staff to be attentive, approachable and unobtrusive. Kudos to the bar staff and front desk who went above and beyond when we had a request."
