Condo in Maui

The entire process of securing this condo was simple and relaxing. This unit was spectacular. It was larger than the suite we had last year In Honolulu when we stayed at the Trump Hotel. The cleanliness was superior to any VRBO that we have ever experienced. We loved everything about this condo and the property around it. I truly wish the Sullivan Properties had something in Florida or the Caribbean. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to enjoy this amazing property!

Beautiful views

Check in could have been friendlier. Neighbors smoked a lot, even though non-smoking building. Dead bug in closet upon arrival. Otherwise extremely spacious for 4, view was amazing and we snorkled with tons of turtles right outside. Kitchen had everything you would need and any rentals needed are close by.

Great views

We loved our stay at this condo. There were 4 adults in our party but the condo was so spacious we could have easily had more of our family join us without issue. The pictures don't accurately convey how nice the property is and how spacious. There are windows and balconies all over with wonderful views of the ocean and beach. We could hear the waves and see so many whales out the windows or from the two balconies. The resort itself was easy to locate and very nice as well. Parking was a bit of a challenge, but we were always able to find a spot somewhere. We loved our time in Maui and would definitely stay at this property again without hesitation. We were only at the unit for a few days, but we found that it was reasonably stocked with starter supplies to meet our needs and Maui is very driveable so it was easy to restock anything we needed.

Unforgettable time!

This is the second year in a row that we have stayed in this particular unit and we’ll be booking it again. The homie feeling, great view and location are among the many reasons we love this unit. It’s absolutely stunning! Now for the nitty details. The unit could use a “deep cleaning” as in one year time the cleanliness has declined. Management and other related “fees” are making it less attractive to lease and I hope they revisit these extra charges as they are questionable. Similar units in the area don’t have as many added charges.

Exactly what I hoped for

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Right on the water. Views from every window, even the shower! Two beautiful balconies. I think it may be the best unit on the beach. I wanted to fall asleep to the waves and this did not disappoint. The waves were actually too loud, which is not a horrible problem to have. We could see turtles popping their heads up as they swam by.

If you are looking for tranquility- not your location

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: If you are looking for a “spring break” vibe - this is your place. Sands of Kahana have quiet hours posted - no one follows that. This condo is close to the pool - which is loud until 10pm at night. You can hear the kids screaming all day long, even from the beach. The condo needs a deep cleaning. Food spilled outside the cabinets, shower tiles have black grout. The bedding needs replacing. It’s cheap and thin (sheets to blanket to a polyester comforter). The elevator was broken the first two days we stayed. That was fun - dragging suitcases up 3 flights. The front office team border on rude. The AC unit sounds like a freight train and I had to sleep with earplugs. We have been to Maui over 10 times and always stayed in Puamana. We will not be back to this location. Ever. And the coffee maker isn’t a Mr Coffee. You need V style filters (and everything else - condo has zero - they even limit what they supply in TP). Very disappointing.

234 exceeded expectations. The unit lives larger than the pictures show. The decks are awesome with views that are fantastic. Each night sunsets were spectacular. Nice pool and restaurant. The beach was really convenient. Would highly recommend Sands of Kahana

AMAZING!

Fantastic property! We will definitely be staying there again! We had 6 adults and had plenty of room in the condo we had. The best view in the building actually. Could see the sea turtles everyday, the sunsets are brilliant. Just a perfect vacation!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I just got back from staying at #234 at Sands of Kahana and loved it! The unit is spacious and comfortable with amazing ocean views. The resort is well maintained and never felt crowded nor noisy. The beds were comfortable and even though there is AC, we slept every night with the windows open listening to the ocean. We loved sitting on the balcony watching the sunsets and sea turtles swimming nearby. I would recommend this unit and resort to everyone.

Unit 234 is a MUST rent unit at Sands of Kahana

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: If you want to travel to the west coast of Maui, and are considering the Sands of Kahana, unit 234 should be a unit to consider. It is on the 3rd floor, with palm trees blowing in the breeze right out your lanai, as well as providing a little shade when desired. It is ON the beach with unobstructed views of the islands of Molokai and Lanai, humpback whales breaching and slapping their flukes in the very blue Pacific Ocean, and the sandy beach below. We were there for 10 days and we did not use the AC at all as the breeze from the windows and two sliding glass doors was perfect. (If we were visiting in the summer months, we might have used the AC, or if the humidity level was too high for an extended period.) Our weather from 2/26-3/8 was perfect.The unit had nearly everything you needed including starter kits of laundry detergent (bring dryer sheets) and dishwasher soap. You will want to consider bringing a small suitcase of kitchen staples with you (seasonings, olive oil, PAM, coffee, tea, etc), otherwise your grocery bill will be higher than you like. There is a set of snorkeling gear for one person and one boogie board as well. Beach towels and bathroom towels were enough for our family of 5. A few small improvements will make the stay even better and maybe management will address these in the upcoming weeks:1) The master bed frame was loose and squeaked loudly. I didn't have any tools otherwise I would have tried to tighten up the frame.2) The kitchen could use some updated tupperware/plasticware for cooking, and the knife set MUST be replaced. 3) If available, boost the WIFI upload/download speed. While we were there, 2 of our boys were ZOOMING school for 4 days, and I was working remotely. We struggled with dropped wifi signals periodically but managed through it. Remote schooling and work will continue to some degree, and the best and strongest WIFI signal adds a lot of value for families.

Maui fun!!

Everything was perfect, the location and grounds were beautiful. Loved the Beach house restaurant. The beds and condo were so incredibly comfortable. We will definitely be back!!
