Ok for overnight stay

Good for an overnight stay. Near the gas station and lots of truck around, but it's quiet in the room. It's a bit annoying for the reception asking too many personal questions to fill the survey.

Everything was great! Three complaints: I look fwd to upgrade/replacement ofthe key card locks cuz they were hit & miss! I had a hard time on the 2nd floor from the elavator to my room because there was an overpowering musty smell. I happened to have some bleach, thankfully, to clean/disinfect the underside of the bath faucet. It was moldy! Just the underside which is easily missed unless you crouch down and get your head low enough to look. The breakfast was my favorite part of each day. As a waffle lover, I was pleasantly surprised by the additional flavor available. Plain was always an option. Blueberry was once and the remainder of my 6 night stay was Birthday Cake. YUM!! The pancake maker next to the waffle iron was a first for me and I enjoyed it!

Painting had evidently been done recently and sanding dust was over some of the surfaces. The TV remote did not increase enough in volume to allow us to hear clearly. The microwave was old, and needed to be updated to newer.

The ratings are wrong, or at least, very over exaggerated. If that is a good plus rating, a fair or poor rating is terrifying. The room was not horrible, just old and worn. Third floor smelled of gas, I almost went down and asked if I should be concerned, but I was just too tired. The floor in the hall was so dirty, and that may have been weather related, but I don't know. The white bedspread had a few ugly marks, but the bed was soft . The curtains would not close properly and I could not keep the outside lights from shining in. The Internet was horrid, not even the 'fair' connection it boasted. I was up and out of bed for breakfast at 6am, the link sausage was... Idk, maybe steamed???? And the fake eggs were rubber. Thankful for the packages of salsa, but even that can only do so much. Thankfully the waffle maker worked well and there was yogurt. I would not recommend this place if you are considering it because of the free breakfast or Wi-Fi. The location is convenient right off the highway and cracker barrel, which was a joke, (different review) is right across the street.

There was food left in the refrigerator. I did not use the tub/shower; it didn't appear clean. There was a lot of dust in the rooms and hallways. My sinuses were irritated; I had to use multiple sinus medications. There was a mole smell in the stair area.

I never leave negative reviews so I hate to do this. For one, upon check in, I was required to pay a 10% "fee" that supposedly Expedia charges the property. It was obvious that the room hadn't been tended to in a while, because it was dusty. This is a lower star property, but cleanliness spans star rating. The drapes were torn, fixtures in bathroom had water spots, window in bathroom was dirty. The chair to the desk was missing an arm. Walls were dirty. In the hallways the floor was filthy with dirt, dried gum, etc. Had I not paid through Expedia I would have asked for a refund and left to find another place to stay. I booked this property in a hurry due to the positive reviews on this Expedia, but I am wondering if those were not legitimate reviews. I was in room 329. Sidenote, the breakfast offerings were plenty.
