  • Lake George Steamboat Company offers a variety of tours and tour lengths on three different boats. This is the Mohican, their largest. The trip was about 2.5 hours, cost about $23 per person and traveled from the southern point of the lake to about half way north. There is a snack bar but I did not visit it. There is commentary talking about the history of the lake, area and some of the houses. It was a very relaxing and pleasant way to spend the afternoon.

We had a great time. The place was clean, modern, and very comfortable. Everything we needed was there, and it felt like home. We especially liked the tea—it was a nice surprise. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Great Choice!

Wonderful stay! This is a modern cottage within walking distance from Lake George and a short drive from all the worthwhile attractions. Such a great place for a family vacation!
