Great place to stay!

The house was very homey, private and clean. Great backyard and just a short walk down to the lake. Very peaceful. We had a great time.

Quaint place on lake

My family and I enjoyed staying here for the weekend. Even though the water was very high for the lake, we went boating nearby, fishing, and golfing. The place is just right for a weekend stay for a small family.

Escape to the lake

We enjoyed our stay, very short walk to the lake. We were able to find a remote spot that made it feel like we were on our own private island. I only suggest getting the lock fixed on the front door, it took multiple attempt to ensure it was locked every time.

The Stripe is a Slice of Heaven

We had a great time enjoying the semi-private cove area and took full advantage of the ability to cook for ourselves and even grilled steaks on our last night. The Stripe is great for close friends or romantic partners who are used to sharing close spaces and working together in the kitchen! We would definitely stay here again!

Awesome lake cabin experience.

This was the best vacation experience. When I walked in I felt at home. The art, the trinkets. It is all super relaxing and welcoming.y dogs Roscoe and Maple loved the trails and swimming. We all agreed it will be our Texas vacation spot as long as it's available. Oh, the sunsets are worth the stay.

A Great and Relaxing Getaway!

The private beach was enjoyed immensely. My husband fished and it was a perfect place for me to do what I wanted to do - float, relax, enjoy nature, & have some peach & quiet! The cabin would accommodate kids easily and we might bring them along next time we're back. (Or maybe not...)

Awesome Beach House!!

I do short vaca rentals all the time and this stay was amazing! The house was not only super clean but decorated in a fun way with lots of perks. They had a fire ring loaded and ready to go, they had funny hats and games. The semi-private cove is so cool! We made friends with the neighbors! We brought the dogs along and was scared since it was the 4th of July that they would escape the backyard but was pleasantly surprised that they were unable to. The fence alone is worth this great review of this awesome waterfront property. I will be booking again. We even had cell reception.

Relaxing Family Lake Trip

The property was clean and well taken care of and looks just like the pictures. Beds were clean and comfy and the air conditioner is COLD which is a plus for Texans. There was plenty of room to stretch out and enjoy our time as a family. LOVED the fenced in back yard and what an awesome lake view. We sat out under the stars and watched the fireflies and explored down by the cove. Spent half of our time at Lake Whitney State Park where our other family was RV camping and got to experience the beauty there as well. There were plenty of pans and bakeware and we cooked all of our meals onsite. There were also board games and I got to spend lots of time with my teen and pre-teen boys! I was actually relieved there was not any WiFi because our boys joined in on board games and we made a lot of great memories. Surprisingly had great cell service though and was able to watch my shows on my phone to fall asleep. There is a place within walking distance that has live concerts that we will definitely visit next time we are there. What a memorable trip!

Stay at The Stripe

Cute little house with a view of the lake. Easy to access, owner is very responsive and helpful. The semi-private cove is just beautiful and relaxing. This was my 2nd stay and I will definitely go back.

Getaway

Plenty of room to pull my boat and truck onto property without unhooking which made it convenient to get to the launch ramp in the morning. Quiet neighborhood and an easy walk to the beach. There is no internet (wifi) but they must have 250 dvd movies that I didn’t watch. Overall 5 outta 5 stars👍👍

Emergency stay

We had to move out of our house on short notice for a home repair. This was the only pet friendly property available. Although the yard is fenced the yard is mostly grass burrs so keep that in mind if you rent. A trip down to the cove via the walkway was steep with many steps. This wasnt a good option for us as we are older and we heeded the signs warning us of the safety issue of the descent. Overall - a good stay. Comfortable and had all that we needed. Very grateful that a pet friendly rental was available. Thank you to the owners!

Hidden Gem

We loved our short stay. Spent our time on the lake and it was beautiful! Not much boat traffic. The "path" to the lake was a little tough for this "old" lady carrying a paddle board but that's why you buddy up. Loved the patio and Spent our evening looking at the stars enjoying the quiet. Hopefully we were not too loud, lol. Did not get a chance to enjoy all the fun games provided. Lots of little photo ops. Had what we needed in the kitchen. Already putting this down for a longer mother daughter trip!

Just what I was looking for

Secluded little place that had an amazing cove. Jeff was great to work with. Had an amazing time playing with my dog on the lake and the stars were amazing at night. Short easy walk down to the lake.
