Always our favorite place for our family ski trip

This place accommodates a lot of children, and is so much fun for them to come sledding after a day of skiing in the area right across the way from the place. We come every year and will keep coming every year as long as it’s available!

Best ski spot for family

We have stayed here a couple of years in a row now for three day weekends to go skiing at China Peak, and we hope to continue in the future, it is the perfect spot!

Trip was great , Place was never nice Upon arrival there was some cleaning that had yet to be completed, each bath room the little garbage container had not been emptied ... some towels hanging in master bath from prior rental

Perfect ski cabin

The layout is great with kids to give everyone space and there is nothing better to beat the traffic to get to China peak in the morning!

Lovely Stay

Such a beautiful location with bountiful space. It just a short walk away from the lake with lots and lots of snow. The hosts are super friendly and helpful as well. Would come again!

Best ski spot

We have been coming for three years now and plan to keep renting here as long as we can. Great lay out out for a family and so easy to get to China peak in the morning and after a long ski day!

Wonderful Condo

This condo has the best views from 3 separate decks! Decorated beautifully and the bedrooms are very spacious. Took us a minute to figure out that the thermostat has a panel that flips down so we could lock the temperature, but that is user error. Be aware as the pictures show there a lot of steps outside. Owner was responsive to contact and very helpful.

High Sierra Regatta

We booked this beauty condo for our family’s home base during the regatta. It was very comfortable, and decorated with mountain charm. We had a couple plumbing issues, but the owner was notified. The view of the lake and China Peak is just amazing. I would definitely book this condo again.

This property was very clean and ready to occupy when we arrived. The kitchen is small but very well stocked. The views are lovely. Very quiet area. The owner of this property was very responsive to any questions that we had and their property managers were very helpful. We were even greeted with a home made blueberry bread. Nice touch and much appreciated. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Ski Weekend!

Had a great stay! Owners were super responsive. We had a great deal of snow while we were there which was beautiful. A couple things that people should be aware of is the entryway is a long flight of stairs so if you have mobility issues, please let the owners know. Also, take your own firewood to enjoy the fireplace and to have in case the power goes out for a heat source.

WONDERFUL PLACE!

This is a great place to stay. All the rooms are large, and everything is fully equipped. I enjoyed how spacious it was and how much light there was, which is a nice break from a normal mountain cabin that tends to be dark. All the modern amenities were perfect for enjoying a meal at home, and there were a ton of game options to play while enjoying the beautiful deck.....there is a deck on every floor, which is nice to work and enjoy morning coffee. Thank you for such a great experience. I will definitely be back.

High Sierra Regatta

2nd time staying at this unit. Perfect set up for our 2 families. The hosts are very prompt to respond to questions. Unit is clean and comfortable. We had epic Uno games and enjoyed the game closet. Beautiful views of the lake from the decks. 5+ stay for us.

Great place.

Love the home it has great amenities. Only thing I would change is beds. They are low on the comfort scale and only queen size. Both large bedrooms could handle Kings and new mattresses or even a bed topper would be a great upgrade.

Christmas Getaway

Very clean, fully furnished with all amenities needed for a family getaway. Planned a snowy white Christmas … inquired with Owner if location would be decorated for Christmas to make the getaway a little bit more special, and he advised otherwise. We were in for a surprise when we arrived as he had placed decorated a bit with a cute small tree and fully stocked the fireplace with wood. Minutes from China Peak and amazing views from each patio….definitely a must stay again palce . Thank you again!

Above and Beyond Expectations

Dan is by far, the nicest and most accommodating property owner! My family and I were all packed to go on our snow trip, when a crazy blizzard hit Huntington. Dan was more concerned with our safety and comfort, that he offered us an extended vacation anytime we wanted in lieu of missing this trip. How nice is that!? We agreed to push back the trip to the summer. A couple of months later, our family decided to move out of state. I asked Dan if it would be possible to cancel the trip, and he was beyond accommodating. So although we did not stay at the property, if a owner treats a renter this well, you know they take pride in their property. That speaks volumes!

Perfect pandemic Getaway

This was our first time in the Huntington Lake area. The hiking was beautiful and stargazing from the balcony was spectacular. While the outside of the condo is fairly rundown, the inside was extremely clean and well-equipped. The kitchen is particularly loaded with cookware, appliances, and staples like spices, oils, coffee and teas, etc. Even some nice cookies to welcome us! There was also a charming local hiking guide, books, and videos. From the photos online we didn't realize that there are 3 outside decks! Really cool. On the downside, the outside steps and main deck are very worn with lots of splinters and a detached railing. And be aware that there are a lot of steps inside and outside. The split levels with all the decks is part of the charm. I would definitely recommend this large comfy condo to groups without very young children or people who have trouble with stairs. It was the perfect pandemic getaway.

Nice but needs repairs

The stairs are badly in need of repair. Most of the treds need replacement, they are unsafe as is in present condition. Add kick plates to the stairs for safty.
