Koh Samui Lamai Viewpoint Hotels

"This is a very quiet resort and really makes up for the things it doesn’t offer. Lots of chairs at the pool. There is a nice little bar to get drinks or snacks. The staff is very kind and very helpful. We had an ocean view room and the sunrise were amazing. Room was dated but clean. I think it was an excellent value for the money. The only drawback is gum is really small but the stairs make up for it workouts wise. Location is excellent. Quiet part of Lamai with a lot of choices of restaurants and market is easy walking distance. We would definitely stay here again "

"we liked the location of the place: you are only a 5 Min walk from the Lamai night market and lots of restaurants. we loved the beach access and they have their own loungers: every time we came, we could find a nice spot in the shade. They have a very nice pool, very clean. The breakfast was great and every day some different foods. the Staff was very friendly and helpful - that was really outstanding. We had a room with a sea view - so it was on the top floor but nice in the shade starting at noon, so perfect to enjoy the balcony. They also rent scooters. So what was not so our favorite: we are non-smokers, and as the room is a non-smoking - if you have neighbours they smoke on their balcony and you smell it, nearly every day when we were relaxing at the beach someone started smoking near us and we got the smoke up - which is very annoying (especially since most of them through their cigarette buts in the sand - very inconsiderate). the beach itself has nice soft white sand, but right near us where two jet ski rentals - so when we went in for a swim: you were literally swimming between the jet skis - which takes a bit away from the "beautiful island beach feeling". the town itself is very smelly, if you walk you always smell the sewer, there is a lot of garbage, the river is very dirty and smelly - and even on the nightmarket - you get smoked on everywhere. We went to check out some more remote beaches and have to say even some of them had bottles and garbage."

"We had a really lovely stay at 4U Resort in Lamai. We booked the Family Triple and lucked out with a fantastic location close to the restaurant, pool, and beach. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, with more than enough room for a couple staying a full week without feeling cramped. One thing to note: there’s a wide variety of room types here. Some are in a motel-style building, while others are superior sea-view rooms. Definitely pay attention when booking so you get the setup you want. The pool isn’t massive, but on a hot Koh Samui afternoon, it feels exactly the right size. The private beach is the real star, though. Plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas, and the Gulf of Thailand water is unbelievably warm and inviting. It’s the kind of place where you mean to swim for five minutes and end up floating for an hour. The on-site restaurant was solid, though a bit pricier than nearby spots. Breakfast isn’t included, which would have been nice, but it wasn’t a dealbreaker. Having massage services right on site was a huge plus, and prices were very competitive compared to the local shops. Overall, this is a great beachfront option in a quieter part of Lamai. You’re close to plenty of restaurants, and just a short cab ride from busier areas and the night market if you want more action. 10/10, would happily claim a sunbed and lose track of time all over again."

"Staff is great, great breakfast, beachfront sunbeds and great pool overlooking the ocean. Walking distance to night market. Close to shopping. Laundry send out was very inexpensive. Rooms were very quiet and the resort is very jungle like and serene. Would definitely stay there again. Big refridge in room, bottle water daily, cold air conditioning, beds are basic but comfortable. Clean rooms "

"Amazing hotel!!! Everything about our 9 night stay was perfect. The staff are just amazing and cant do enough for you, the hotel is super clean and location is covenient for exploring the island. Food at the restaurant is fresh and healthy and breakfast offered averything you needed. Thai boxing session was fab and we also attended the morning stretching classes. So sad to be leaving today but will be back next year! Thank you Thai Fight Hotel… you should be so proud of this little gem! "
