“Quinta de Recião has numerous properties. This review is for the one-bedroom cottage (Casa do Moinho - the Mill House)
The Mill House is a beautiful property, hosted by beautiful people. The main room has kitchen, table, lounge, small TV and a fire. The separate bedroom has two single beds with an adjoining bathroom.
The cottage sits right on the edge of the Rio Varosa (Varosa River) and the sound of running water is peaceful and calming.
There is the option to have a home cooked meal……

“Estava tudo muito bem. Foi uma passagem de ano tranquila em família e com amigos com tudo o que precisámos. Já ficámos em muitas casas e nenhuma estava tão bem equipada com esta, não faltou nada.Bonita casa, confortável e com um open space no piso inferior (sala estar, sala jantar e cozinha) espetacular e que promove o convívio entre todos.O único reparo é o acesso que de facto é complicado para os automóveis devido às manobras a que obriga, mas devido à elevada inclinação do terreno não haverá……

“Spacious home with everything we needed for a weeks stay. Outside area was perfect and pool lovely.
Great location, private and not overlooked and close enough to supermarkets.
All mod cons you would expect and want.
4 double beds, great air con.

“Wow! What a privilege to stay in a one of a kind architecturally amazing home overlooking the Douro River. João, our host, helped us navigate our way to the home and welcomed us with chocolate, wine and kindness.The accommodations lacked nothing. “The owner received us; Very very nice guy and very helpfull in every request or question!!
Take notice you will need to call him -phone number on the door you can use WhatsApp ! he and his wife live in the back of the hotel.
One kitchen that serves all rooms a little old, but you have everything, you need including stove and atmosphere is the best ! Nice pool and nice town !!! Worth the visit”

“This property was such a perfect relaxing escape for us. The grounds were beautiful with grapevines, vegetables, fruits, and stunning flowers we were able to enjoy this spring. Guillermina and her family made sure we had everything we needed and answered our questions quickly . She gave us great recommendations for shops and and restaurants. The views were breathtaking, their wine delicious and the pool was gorgeous. We feel so lucky to have spent April at Quinta da Portinha”
