Best Holiday Inn we've stayed in! We had a disabled access room and it was huge! Very clean. Absolutely most effective AC we've had in a UK hotel! Staff friendly. Hotel welcoming with free refreshments at reception. Breakfast good.

Pool felt cold compared to when we stayed a few years back, warmed up slightly on 2nd day. Changing rooms could do with some TLC missing locker doors or broken. Nice food although some items off the menu were not available. Only 1 towel was provided in room on arrival had to ask twice for more. Rooms adequate, bathroom ok but black mood on walls near shower. Walls are paper thin, could hear the person next door coughing and having a wee! Lovely. Wish other people staying would have consideration and close doors quietly at night and not let their kids run wild down the corridors late at night just selfish.

Great location for Lake District and Lancashire an on to North Yorkshire/Yorkshire Dales without the premium price. Breakfast was plentiful and staff accommodating of a large party. We were able to change our room due to an error on our part, without problem or charge. Parking was always available and accessible.

Staff make this hotel especially the reception team and dining staff on the evening shift. Got a complimentary upgrade, which is always welcome, dining at the evening food was cooked fresh, hot, helpful staff no complaints. Hotel rooms were very comfy, bright on the riverside of the hotel, lovely toiletries. Will return on the back of how welcoming the staff were.
