The Birch Cabin is located in Forest Lodge, a private development offering:

A sandy swimming beach with a swing set—ideal for family fun.
A main pier and a private boat launch for easy water access.
Your own private pier, just steps from the front door!
Enjoy a complimentary canoe—just be sure to wear life jackets.

About High Lake
700+ acre, moderately clear all-water sport lake.
38% of the shoreline is undeveloped state forest.
Connected and navigable to Rush Lake and Fish Trap Lake, expanding to over 1,000 acres of water.
The source of the Manitowish River.
Fishing & Wildlife
Fish Species: Bluegill, Perch, Crappie, Large & Small Mouth Bass, Walleye, Northern Pike, and Muskie.
Holds the Wisconsin state record for Walleye!
Bald eagles and loons nest around the lake, offering incredible wildlife viewing.

Rental Information
Seasonal Availability: Open from the first Friday in May to the first weekend in October.
This can be flexible, please ask or submit and inquiry!

Our family of 4 had a great time. Kyle is a wonderful host. He answered all my questions very quickly. We loved the cabin. It was very cozy.

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It was the perfect size for our family. It was well stocked with all the essentials, and it was clean. It does need better serving utensils, so I did add a few to the drawer. There were areas that needed improvement, such as the porch area could be cleaned up and better screens would prevent the bugs from gettin in. It would have been nice to have a kayak or two, and also a fire pit should be added. We opted to buy one and bring it with us. We did have a plumbing issue, but the owner’s family was staying on the premises, and responded very quickly, and solved the problem. All in all, we had a fun time, the weather was perfect and we would stay here again.
