“Front desk associates all very nice and accommodating”

“I rarely leave negative reviews, but this hotel was so disgusting that I feel obligated to warn other travelers. From the moment we walked through the front doors, I was horrified. The carpet in the lobby and hallways was absolutely filthy. I have never seen hotel carpet in such poor condition. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years and made an awful first impression. “I have stayed at other Sonesta locations, but this property did not appear to be ready for guests. There were areas where chunks of paint were missing or just not covered, among other things and it made the room look dirty. There was mold in the shower. The elevator smelled. There was water dripping from the lights behind the front desk. Also, there was a storm this night, so it knocked out the power in the entire hotel, so the room got hot because there was no AC. “There needs to be updates. It's ludicrous to ask for a $100 incidental. Every time I got on the elevator, it was wet. No housekeeping daily. The light in my room kept flickering. The pool area needs to be updated. The sausages were undercooked. I let the staff know, and the girl came out and added water to the eggs. How do you not have a lobby restroom on the first floor.”
