"Such a lovely house We had a very chilled holiday Just what we needed "

"Lovely house with a lot of space pool and large area to play.The reason for the 3 star is because there were a few things which surprised us and cumulatively these did affect things overall.The oven in the main house didn’t work which was mentioned on the previous reviews in the book - it actually did but there was a flick of a switch needed so we spent the 1st 8days without in a self catering place.The air conditioning was not in the whole place as we had interpreted from the write up and the 2 small kids rooms in the main house had none (with single beds) whilst fans helped they were very warm and we did book and pay the extra for air conditioning - thinking this was available in the whole property - there was no air conditioning in the smaller house and whilst the downstairs did stay cool the bedrooms were warm but a fan did suffice - clearer write up would have removed this slight disappointment on arrival.The facilities listed were not all available - namely table tennis, the swings were very rickety and moving so we didn’t use and Wendyhouse not in use - not a problem for us but for others may affect a booking.But all of these would only have lnocjed it to a 4 - unfortunately the worst thing was the neighbour who was incredibly unpleasant and intimidating to children for playing in the daytime in the gardens designated to this property - he was very intimidating to 8yr olds and left them in tears and continued shouting at them and would not speak to us as adults."

"We had a great week here. The house is well-equipped, and the pool is great — perfect for a group holiday. We left with plenty of happy memories. The only downside has been what happened afterwards. Two weeks on, we’re still dealing with a waste disposal fine we believe is unfair, with very unclear communication from the host. During the stay, the only issue raised with us was fixed straight away, and nothing more was mentioned. It’s a shame, because instead of just remembering the holiday, we’ve ended up discussing this when we get together. The place itself is fantastic and we’d have rated the stay higher if not for the post-holiday dispute.(Traduction automatique)Nous avons passé une excellente semaine ici. C’est dommage, car au lieu de simplement nous souvenir des bons moments, nous avons fini par parler de cette affaire lorsque nous nous retrouvons.Le lieu en lui-même est fantastique, et nous aurions attribué une meilleure note sans ce litige après le séjour."

"All the family enjoyed the lovely pool. We have special memories of our time there every day!The accommodation was spacious & comfortable though could benefit from some updating. Kitchen & utility area were well equipped & easy to use. Any issues were quickly looked into by the owner & dealt with immediately. All in all an enjoyable holiday! Thankyou to Simon particularly. "

"A lovely break - the house was pretty much as described.The pool is great - the outside eating space is fantastic and there are 3 big fridges to keep everything cold. The living accommodation is great and it really is a lovely house. Tennis court is in good nick - but bring your own racquets and balls as the stuff there is not great.Thierry - who sorts out any issues was great and really responsive. A few small negatives - the oven is pretty useless and I see that previous reviews have mentioned this - a low cost solution that would make things easier for guests. Secondly - there are no restaurants within walking distance as in the description - but some good ones a short drive away. Finally - you have to pay to use the bikes in the photos - 20 euros a bike - just so you are aware these are not included. "

"We enjoyed a quite outstanding evening meal cooked by the owner. It was original and delicious. The hotel itself was quirky, albeit in a good way. Old fashioned and probably in need of a facelift; but as a taste of rural France, hard to beat. "
