Perfect holidays

We spent two wonderful weeks in this lovely house. We particularly loved the beautiful garden. The house is spacious and very well equipped. It is situated in a quiet neighbourhood outside the old village, but it's close enough to walk to the shops or restaurants in the centre (about 10 mins). The area offers great outdoors, but also a lot for art lovers (don't miss the Musee d'Art Moderne in Ceret!). It has been perfect holidays and we certainly come back!

What a great place!

We loved this rental property! It is in a quiet location, but within excellent driving distance of so many things! All of the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was well equipped. The weather wasn't great the week that we were there, but it didn't matter, because the villa is so comfortable and spacious. We loved using the charcoal BBQ and walking into the old town. Having a nice dining room was lovely, considering the weather. The pool and gardens were beautiful, although we were not really able to go swimming. We would definitely return, and we highly recommend this property.

Maison propre et bien équipée pour un séjour en famille, description de l’annonce est conforme. Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans cette maison malgré une météo très médiocre (heureusement inhabituelle pour cette région). Annonce incomplète sur Abritel pour la facture d'électricité

Si vous venez entre novembre et mars, vous risquez de payer l’électricité (donc le chauffage et l’eau chaude) à un prix exorbitant (7 fois le tarif de base, soit 0,94 € le kW/h). Ce tarif, dit « tarif EJP » est appliqué 22 jours par an par EDF, de façon aléatoire, et on n’est prévenu que la veille. Nous sommes restés 8 jours dans cette location et nous avons eu 2 jours consécutifs de tarif EJP. If you come between November and March, you risk paying for electricity (including heating and hot water) at an exorbitant price (7 times the basic rate, i.e. 0.94 € per kW/h). This tariff, known as the "EJP tariff", is applied 22 days a year by EDF, randomly, and we are only notified the day before. We stayed 8 days in this rental and we got 2 successive days of EJP rate.

Un séjour agréable

Propriété très agréable, très propre et bien équipée pour un séjour entre amis ou famille, bien située par rapport au village de Laroque que l'on rejoint facilement par de petits chemins entre des jardins bucoliques, mais aussi entre mer et montagne, rien n'étant éloigné.

To be greeted by wine biscuits and friendly hosts was a bonus. Plenty of guides and recommendations for local areas. Restaurant in St Genis to be recommended, excellent food,wine and service. Our grandchildren loved the pool and garden. We were warned about the mosquitoes but still managed to get bitten , apart from the children and daughter in law who escaped somehow. If you want a lovely relaxed holiday this is just the place. Lovely to sit outside and enjoy a BBQ in the evening. I would certainly recommend this to anyone. Thank you for a great time.
