The check-in process at this property is unacceptable, especially for travelers without internet access. The only way to check in is online, and if you are fortunate enough to find the property manager—which Expedia lists as a 4-star establishment—they will tell you there’s nothing they can do unless you complete the check-in yourself online. If you don’t have internet access, that’s simply “your problem.”
On Expedia’s website, I paid for an Ocean View Room, which turned out to be false and misleading advertising. No room at this property offers any ocean view whatsoever. I contacted Expedia to report this issue and provided photo evidence proving my claim. In response, Expedia credited only $25 in points to my account and said they would “escalate the case,” which, based on past experience, means I will never receive a proper follow-up. Every time Expedia “escalates” a matter, no one ever responds.
Conclusion: The “Ocean View Room” does not exist—it is outright fraud and a total scam. This property is not a 4-star accommodation as advertised on Expedia. It offers no amenities, no reception support, no room phones, and no cleaning service. Guests are essentially left on their own. This experience represents a clear case of false advertising and negligence, and I expect a full investigation and refund.
