「Our fist visit to Montrose. Lovely hotel which met all our needs in terms of friendliness, cleanliness, amenities and location. We had a very plentiful, tasty breakfast. Great atmosphere in the evening when there was a live band and a busy function suite. Have already recommended this hotel and this town to friends.」

「The owner is very knowledgeable, helpful and made sure you had everything you needed for breakfast and your stay. Its not a traditional hotel visit. It is more like visiting a friend at a Castle.」

「The building and grounds here are absolutely beautiful. It's clearly been a wonderful place to stay at some point. Having said that, our trip was generally very disappointing. We arrived in the evening, and there were no staff at all to be seen. There was a bar open, with music playing, and no staff. A sign noted to call a mobile number for help. The first number rang out repeatedly. On a second call, a person answered and seemed confused about whether any staff remained at the hotel. Eventually...

「Everything about this experience was so unique and warm. It made our stay in Stonehaven so memorable! Everything is so clean. The room even came with a fan which my husband relies on at home. The kitchen is well equipped to cook your food if needed and the option to use the clothes washer was a huge bonus. Breakfast options were plenty and the coffee machine was exactly what I needed!」

「A great place to stay near Stonehaven- only one of the two bedrooms has an en-suite bathroom, the other is served by a bathroom across the hall- Best to check first if an issue」

「On the plus side: lady orchestrating breakfast was top notch. Downstairs had been redone nicely, parking good and a nice garden area with good games. We had rooms on the top floor which had definitely seen better days. Sash windows didnt open properly or slid down and even in 25 deg heat rooms were unbearable even at midnight. Not an expensive place but you should be able to sleep.」

「This is a beautiful house close to the harbor. We had a triple room with bathroom. Good size room, I wish my room in Edinburgh looked like this. The whole property is spotless and up to date. The hosts are very nice and helpful and serve a good breakfast with lots of options. It's worth spending more time and relax in the chill Stonehaven. They have on site parking.」

「My only complaint was that I only booked one night. I did not want to leave! The ocean view was gorgeous. The room and bed were very comfortable, and the complimentary breakfast had a great variety of choices. The books and games were a nice touch as well. Perfect location as well!」

「Your made to feel welcome from tje moment you check in. There's good parking. The room we had (6 in the pub) was very comfortable, spotlessly clean with lovely en -suite shower room. Fresh towels were available daily. The breakfast choice was amazing and very delicious」

「Bathroom in state od dis repair fire alarm hanging off wall cobwebs on stairs leading to room staff using foyer as office bar overpriced breakfast was cooked well but no toast coffee out of machine. I believe it under new management a lot to sort out woul not go back」

「I stayed here the night before my wedding at Drum Castle and was able to utilize the late checkout so I could get ready there with my hair and makeup artists. My bridesmaids, mother, and I had such a great experience. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, the breakfast was delivered to my room and was delicious, and the property was clean and very relaxing. Lots of cute bunnies outside! We enjoyed our experience here very much and would stay again!」
