“What a perfect way to experience the Galapagos islands! So happy my wife and I chose Semilla Verde Boutique Hotel over a hotel in the town. The grounds are wonderful. We walked the paths and saw the tortoises multiple times per day. It was an easy 10 minute taxi into town for tours, restaurants and other activity when we needed it. But we loved the quiet and tranquility at Semilla Verde. The pool is refreshing. The staff are so helpful and friendly. The coffee is grown on the property and makes……
“The Royal Palm offers a truly immersive Galápagos experience—set inland on a stunning 100 acre property, far from the touristy feel of the ports. Recently under new ownership, the property is being refreshed: rooms are spacious and renovated, the pool has been redone, and quiet renovations are underway, including apparently a unique lava tunnel spa. Some exterior areas still need attention, but the overall feel is serene and authentic.
Service is top-notch and boutique-level, with attentive,……
“Excellent location, clean, friendly, and great breakfast. Highly recommend. Only caveat- the outdoor area on the water shown in photos is actually a couple blocks from the rest of the hotel. Not a big deal, but I was surprised. ”
“My husband and I stayed at the Posada del Mar for 4 nights. It is a 7-10 minute walk from the ferry terminal, close to the supermarket and tonnes of restaurants, travel companies and shopping. The breakfast is great if you decide to take advantage of it. There is coffee and tea all day as well as water to drink. The people at the front desk speak both Spanish and English and are incredibly helpful. Credit card is accepted for hotel stays. (For breakfast you have to pay in cash.) We took……
“Very nice little boutique hotel, very well located in Puerto Ayora. Exceptionally attentive staf and clean, ample room. Our tour was canceled due to a tsunami warning. The staff quickly found an alternative activity for us.”
“Hotel Mainao is a hidden gem in Puerto Ayora. Spacious, clean rooms, delicious breakfast offerings, courteous and efficient staff, and striking Barcelona-inspired architecture make this family - owned hotel a top choice when holidaying in the Galápagos. ”
“We had a lovely night at the lodge. It was a family run hotel who made us feel so welcome.
The bed was huge and comfortable, the family were on hand for absolutely anything. They even came running out with umbrellas as we headed out for a walk in the rain.
The food was fresh and delicious. Breakfast was served outside our room on the veranda, which was fantastic and quite simply the best omelette I have ever tasted.
We arranged a pick up from the pier, which was provided at a very……
