A real hidden gem.
Fabulous place to stay - right near the main road but completely hidden and sheltered from the traffic noise. The owners are lovely - as are their dogs - and the property has great gardens to walk around and a pool with loungers to enjoy. As the triple room was not booked out, we were upgraded to the larger room at no extra cost. Breakfast was excellent and there are tea/coffee facilities and a fridge to use during your stay. ONE WARNING - this hotel does not take credit cards, so ensure you have cash to settle your account as the nearest ATM is a very long way away!

Accueil charmant des hôtes, gens passionnés par la culture médiévale, équipements intelligents pour les enfants (jeux, livres, déguisements) et pour les adultes (livres sur la Dordogne et sur le monde médiéval, archerie…) Disponibilité des hôtes. Propreté et sobriété des chambres parsemées de petits meubles anciens choisis avec amour. Jardin avec zones variées inséré dans la campagne environnante, la vue des chambres est très agréable et bucolique. Calme.

Great location and a lovely host however the whole place smells mold. It’s a very strong and unpleasant smell that stayed in our hair and clothes after our departure. We were also disappointed by the cleanliness in the room - there were spiderwebs that evidently had been there for quite some time. Our stay wasn’t cheap and I expected the standard to be kept above the average, yet it wasn’t.
