Weirdest rental ever
I have used VRBO MANY times but this rental was just totally weird. In this 2 bedroom apartment there were 2 rooms with renters and/or the owner around too. Each renter had a bedroom and the living room and kitchen were communal. I used neither. Each bedroom door had it's name written on a piece of paper thumbtacked to the door. The kitchen had the owners food and "stuff" in it and there were no lights in the kitchen, counters or fridge! I had to use my phone. When I saw it was already in use I declined to put anything in it. The bedroom had the owners items just pushed to one side of the desk and clothes in half the closet also. I didn't use either. The wifi was not as advertised and, if I hadn't found the owner, I would have been without wifi. Most worrying was that the bedroom door - my only refuge!- could only be locked from the inside. So, when I went out, all my belongings were in a communal apartment without any security. I have never seen or heard of a 2 bedroom apartment where both bedrooms were rented out separately! It was definitely not advertised as such and should have been disclosed and priced MUCH lower. The bathroom had the owners medicines and even prescriptions in the medicine chest. The entire apt was old, painted many times and in a student complex. I had rented for 2 nights and left after the first, cutting my homecoming visit short. I would urge NOBODY to rent this place!!
