Great Location, Dirty house

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed the location. However, The house was very dirty. Unclean sheets and comforter on one of the beds, lots of dirt in the hot tub area, under the beds was awful.

Vacation for 50th anniversary getaway.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very beautiful place and location. The only complaint had, was that it wasn’t very clean. There were dirty underwear under the beds in one room, and lots of dust and lost items under all the beds. The kitchen lacked a lot of things to cook with and you would think since it holds 18 people, that the toiletries in the bathrooms would have plenty of items. It was a nice stay except for those things.

Big, Private, Great Views

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a good time at Lookout Lodge. It was private and we loved the views from the decks. Hot tub worked well and was nice as the weather was typically ~15 degrees cooler up near Terry Peak than down in Deadwood. The kitchen was nice and so were the rooms. There are a good deal of small things that could be fixed, but nothing outrageous. Pretty clean overall (some leftover trash missed from the stay(s) before us). We did our best to leave it in good shape and clean when we left. I'd go there again and it looks like a perfect spot in winter - especially if you hit up Terry Peak!

Great stay for the whole family, plus wild turkeys!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a beautiful house in a great location. We enjoyed being in the woods but only a few minutes away from amenities in Lead and Deadwood. We stayed in the summer and enjoyed a number of local attractions, and we were lucky enough to have a pack of wild turkeys nesting in the trees outside our windows almost every night! Hot tub is great, and the kids (and adults) really enjoyed the foosball table. I definitely recommend staying here!

Parent’s 50th Wedding Anniversary

Perfect place for our family! Plenty of space. Great seating areas. Gorgeous views of the Hills. Spotted Deer, turkey, squirrels on property and heard elk buglering.

Beautiful Home

Open floor plan with a big table. We liked the location, explored Mt Rushmore, Spearfish Canyon, Deadwood, Wildlife loop, Custer. All within driving distance. Easy check in. Everything as described and pictured. Highly recommend.

The house itself is nice however it needed to be cleaned better. The floors and rugs were dirty. The grill on the deck was so dirty it took me about half an hour of scrubbing before i would use it. The beds mattress were wrapped in vinyl / plastic cover which made them awful to sleep on. Tryed to contact the vrbo representative with questions. No response

Terrible communication no response

The unit was not cleaned well at all...the worst was ac went down for three days in 96 degrees days and nights where unseasonably warm contacted Mgr responded but never a follow up and Air was never fixed...never have had an issue on vrbo until now would not recommend staying

Wonderful

We stayed with friends and family and celebrated Thanksgiving It was a wonder experience and great place to stay. The host was very easy to communicate with. The one thing that was missing was some the kitchen utensils but knowing this house is newer I am sure they will get all of that resolved.

A beautiful spacious place!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The place was amazing and beautiful. We had lots of space to spread out but the open layout kept us all together as a family too. My parents and two siblings' families had plenty of space and privacy. Kitchen had everything we needed. Hot tub was a great bonus. Boys enjoyed the huge tv and foosball. Dining table was great for card playing. Balcony was lovely in the morning.I know we had a back to back rental but we found a couple of towels that were wet in a drawers or cabinets. Dry towels were in the dryer we found but weren't aware of them on arrival. Nothing big but made us aware of other people. Height of bed on the main floor was nearly a problem for my elderly parents -- we put them on that floor so they didn't have to do the stairs so much but then the bed was nearly an impediment. Again, totally not a big deal, just something that came up for us. Getting in an out on rutted roads might have been the biggest drawback to the place.

Spacious, but:

The ac's didn't keep the place cool. The fully stocked kitchen was disappointing. Although there was a Keurig, a Starbucks and a regular coffee pot. There was no light above big table made it hard to play games. Wear shoes on the deck, you get splinters. The master bath shower didn't drain but bed was comfy. Most of the other beds in the lodge were uncomfortable. It did have plenty parking even for long trailers. Small hot tub as well. Plenty of room otherwise.

A good getaway for the family

The cabin itself was beautiful and spacious. Big windows for plenty of natural sunlight in and beautiful view of the hills out. The location is decent, not too far off from some of the main towns. Cleanliness was fairly good. It wasn't thoroughly cleaned. There was some things missed from the last occupants, but overall it was tidied. Overall it was a great space and stay for the family.
