This is a GREAT place for large groups with diverse ages - our group ranged from 2 to 82 years old. Very roomy. We had 11 adults and 2 young children, and it never felt cramped. All-wheel-drive is a must if it's snowy or wintry to get out to this beautiful location, as they clearly disclose in the information packet.
The huge island in the kitchen is so handy for snacks and food for large groups. We cooked Thanksgiving dinner and it was so nice to have that extra table room, plus extra empty space in the pantry for more places to stash groceries.
Both the staircases are so very safely constructed and perfect for toddlers to navigate without fear! Wide, carpeted and the log spindles are close together so no fear of little people slipping through. A bathroom on each of the 3 floors was also very handy, each with tubs and showers.
There are 2 "pack n' plays" available for use in the closets as well as a booster seat in the kitchen, very handy. There is a double sized air mattress already blown up in one of the many large closets and lots of extra pillows and blankets everywhere! The little loft "living room" is very cozy and stocked with tons of kid movies and cartoons. It was perfect for the little people to take a break once in awhile and watch a cartoon, but still be accessible to keep an eye on. The downstairs game room living room is stocked with an xbox 360 plus some games and many DVD's to choose from. This was great for the teenagers to have a place to congregate. Everyone in our party had good cell service and so our data worked great too. The cabin does have wifi, but a limited plan-I don't think any of us even hooked up to it.
We sat in the hot tub in the snow and watched the sun go down, it was beautiful!
