I hate to leave a mediocre review, but here it is. I tried to contact the property privately to resolve before deciding to do this. Once we found the house (it is at the back of the property), it was a little difficult to enter. It has a doorknob that locks if you turn one way and opens the other way. When I tried to call the contact provided, it said the phone was not taking calls at that time. I texted. Before I got a response, we found another door was unlocked and got in that way, then figured out the front door. The contact texted back, letting me know she was out of town and was unaware she wasn't receiving calls since she'd gotten calls from others throughout the day.As we unpacked groceries (we prefer to cook), I noticed that there were ants and a dead bug on the kitchen counter. I texted the contact again, but got no response. I suspect they are aware of the issue, because there was no creamer or sugar for the coffee. We kept the food we brought packed in coolers. The ants made it challenging to fix plates, etc., because they were quickly on any kind of food on the counter. The appliances worked well, and it was nice to have an actual coffee pot as well as a Keurig.Later, I went to shower in the primary bathroom, only to discover that the hot water faucet was partially disassembled. It was difficult to get the hot water turned on. There was plenty of hot water, and the water pressure was decent. We chose to cut our trip short. I texted the contact to let her know, once again bringing up the ant issue. Her only response was, "I hope you enjoyed your stay otherwise." I emailed through the VRBO site the next day and waited 24 hours before posting this review.
