「A lovely pub with a stunning beer garden and direct access to the canal path for walks to Carnforth Morecambe and Lancaster. Only issue was the heat in the room which I appreciate it was unusually hot but room 3 also has a large noisy extractor fan outside the window so it was either heat or noise. The fan does get turned off at night. Would still stay again and the food was excellent.」

「之前看评价说房间很差，担心了半天，入住后觉得一点也不差，就是房间里没有wifi信号（房间内收费），自己的网络也时有时无。如果选择一楼前台区域楼上的房间，可以接受到大堂的免费wifi信号。 我最喜欢的走10分钟来到海边栈道，一路晨跑，再看个日出把自己感动到哭。栈道会途径一个小镇及它的火车站，可以让你拍很久。」

「It’s a majestic and beautiful property which has been tastefully decorated. We stayed in the family room (2 adults and a teenager) and it was huge and lovely. The only criticism would be about the bathroom…the shower pressure and no shelving in the shower or bath to put your products on (very minor though). We can’t speak highly enough of all the staff from the reception, to the restaurant/breakfast and bar. A special mention to Brendan who made one of the nicest Espresso Martinis I’ve ever...

「Lovely room at the Royal Oak, perfect for a quick stay. Bed was comfy and shower was good, what more could you ask for! Pub was not open Sunday evening, so we didn't get to eat here, but heard that the food is very good. No breakfast in morning, but lots of options in Cartmel so wasn't an issue. Would recommend.」

「This hotel is fabulous. We only stayed one night but wish it was more. The staff were amazing, the room was stunning and the common areas were lovely. Beautiful cooked breakfast, lots of lovely extra touches. The room decor was like something straight out of a design book.」

「Really nice caravan on a lovely site with pool. We really enjoyed our stay, the caravan is very well stocked with everything you need for a weekend away, very thoughtfully done. Very clean and communication excellent. Would definitely recommend. 」

「A great location to stop after a long drive. Very convenient. The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was spotless with lovely locally sourced products. Whilst we didn't eat dinner here it was busy and there us a children's play area too. We ate at the Hare & Hounds; a very pleasant 20 minute walk away. There is plenty of car parking spaces at the Gilpin. The breakfast is very basic. We would definitely stay again but not opt for the breakfast.」
