It's beautiful and so peaceful. However, our room was not ready an hour after checkin time and the meal took 2 hours and wasn't very good. Bed is comfortable and the staff were nice, just not on top of things.

The setting was fabulous. The manager was friendly and helpful. The property was rundown. The dining area that housed the breakfast was filthy. It was hard to find a clean coffee cup. Half of the tea bags had the paper wrap removed and were stained as were the creamers.Our room had no toilet paper, the comforter was soiled, had no window nor air conditioning( we were aware of there being no air). We opened the door and closed the hard to maneuver screen to cool the very warm room on several attempt, only to have to close it due to smoking directly below us. It was suspected by us and other guests that the property staff were the ones smoking in this restricted area. There were many cigarette butts thrown on the roof visible from the second floor. It is sad because the property has immense potential. We will not be returning.

Poor property description (dirt road to property)

Just so you know, there are over 6 miles of dirt road to get to this hotel (which is NOT listed in the property description). I have a motorcycle on a trailer, and tried the first 1/2 mile, but there were so many washboards, I felt the motorcycle and trailer would probably be ruined. Turned around and found a room in Lewistown. Contacted the hotel and Hotels.com to request a refund, since I felt they should have listed the difficulty getting to the property, but they have apparently refused. Poor property description. Can't rate anything else about the property since I wasn't there, so I gave everything else 3 stars figuring it would be fair (didn't want to leave 1 star for those).

Off the map kind of place, but it's SO much better than staying at some stupid, generic box hotel! Deer 10 feet off the porch, view of trees, mountains, it's just amazingly beautiful! I'll definitely be back, this is one I'll remember fondly forever! Staff is so friendly and enjoyable, i can't say enough how fabulous it is!

Judith Mountain Lodge is a rough-hewn Montana mountain experience, remarkable in some ways, because it's in an area of MT known for plains, not mountains. The staff is very friendly, but don't expect polished "city" accommodations. This is more like going to a good friend's cabin in the woods. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and the staff went out of their way to be sure we had what we needed.
