"Friendly and helpful staff. Met us at the entrance to old town and moved our luggage in (even though late arrival and pouring rain). Lovely quaint courtyard and simple quaint room with good king bed and warm shower. Staff helped us arrange transport for Tiger Leaping Gorge day hike and tickets to a live performance. Like other places it is best to have WeChat set up in advance for communication and if you want, for payment too. Special commendations to staff Bob and Roxana for their warm welcome, copious amounts of tea, and assistance. We would come here again."

"Amenities and rooms are new. However, the pool was overcrowded with China locals and their kids, making the sauna and steam room a mess. Breakfast buffet with also crowded with China locals and rowdy."

"It was such a heart warning stay. Loved the host and family’s reception and kindness. The location is perfect, away from the noisy part of the town and yet, on the most beautiful back street, with creek and stone bridge right in the front. Will certainly come back next time in Lijiang."

"Staff was very helpful. If you get a room facing the ancient city, it's beautiful.. sunrise (facing east) and night view. The hotel position is at the hill top of the Ancient City with the hotel entrance just a few steps to the stairways leading to the ancient city.. inaccessible to the wheelchair bound folks. It is better to have the hotel arrange for your transportation to the hotel as it is difficult to find. If you make your own way there, they will provide you with another hotel's address (where the taxi can drop you off), then they'll pick you up from there (you have to call them when you arrive). You'll also need help with your luggage as the pathway leading to the hotel is not user friendly and there are steps down leading to the hotel entrance. Breakfast, it's simple... don't expect a good meal. They can help you with online purchases (food or anything) with delivery within the hour upto 10 pm... this is exceptionally fast and efficient. "
