Lima Historic Hotel

"It is a wonderful, little, boutique property. The staff is extremely friendly and go the extra kilometer in regards to service. From the point of check-in, to checking out, I had a great stay. Maykol, and the rest of the staff are amazing. They made my stay extremely memorable. It's really nice to be on a first name basis with almost everyone in the hotel by the time you check out. "First I’d like to say how helpful the manager of the hotel was. His name was Jorge. He made me feel extremely comfortable and was constantly checking on me to see if I was ok and if I was enjoying my stay. The hotel was beautiful and quirky. "Overall a good place to stay. Nice and close to the historic district, with bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. Hotel was elderly with a few rough edges, but fine. Staff were friendly, and the laundry service was good. Internet service, though, was not great - spotty coverage, low speeds, and there was a complete outage for a couple of hours one day. Also, for the technically minded, you cannot establish an outgoing VPN connection - for some reason it is blocked."

"The place looks like old, the pictures lie, it was not clean, the restroom had soap open, no toilet paper or towels. There is no elevator,the street is congested and loud from people. The floor was dirty and not mop or sweep. "The lady at the front desk was very nice and helpful, she allowed us to stay in the room until 3pm, we had to catch a 7pm flight. I missed the buffet breakfast... lol.. but they brought breakfast to our room, nice selection of bread, fruit and drinks. The hotel is located near to the Kennedy Park, restaurants and grocery stores. I will definitely stay here again."
