Great family getaway! Has everything you need plus a good selection of kitchen utensils. If you're coming with small kiddos, recommend bringing a folding gate to block off the stairs and stove.

Baby moon

We booked this cabin for a relaxing baby moon by the water. The property was great, there’s a huge backyard and it’s easy to get in/put of the water using the dock. The community is quiet which made relaxing easy.

Perfectly relaxing!

The rental was fantastic! Everything we could have needed was available, the process was simple and the stay was great! We had one beautiful sunny day and one hunker down rainy day and they both were filled with fun, laughter and relaxation! Looking forward to booking again!

Connection and Relaxation

This lake house was lovely. The property was wonderfully equipped with everything we needed...even firewood for lovely bonfires by lake with the sunset.

Fall on Arrowhead

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Lake Arrowhead. The house was everything we hoped for...great location, quiet street, clean, comfortable, spacious, beautiful deck, and amazing waterfront. With the ping-pong table in the basement we were entertained rain or shine. We would love to return in the summer and take advantage of the wonderful selection of boats.

All in all it was a very nice relaxing place on the lake.It was very clean The water was nice and clear.It definitely does get hot in the house without air conditioning but the basement stayed nice and cool.The contact person for any questions was very fast responding.I would definitely recommend it to anyone and would definitely go back there again.Was decent fishing from the dock or out in kayak

Great lake spot close to Portland!

We had an awesome stay - the place was very clean, check in was super easy. Comfortable, nice view and access to lake. It had everything we needed, and the woodstove was so nice for the cooler nights. We saw a bunch of loons and the fishing was good! Would be nice to have some bookshelves and/ or games in the living area, or art on the walls, but I also really appreciate the lack of clutter and cleanliness of the place! We had such a fun and relaxing time, will definitely be back!

We had a great stay at this beautiful lake house ! You couldn’t ask for a more relaxing vacation directly on the water . We enjoyed kayaking , fishing , swimming, paddle boarding and having fires at night . The hosts are wonderful and supply pretty much everything you would need ! We almost brought our big lobster steamer pot but we didnt have room for it but thankfully they had one in the shed and we had lobsters and steamers by the lake ! The house is well equipped, clean and lots of beds . Having no AC didn’t bother us at all we kept windows open and fans on and house stayed cool . Would definitely stay here again !

A perfect property for what we were looking for. Just my wife and I for 5 nights (Sunday to Friday). Quiet and relatively private location. Saw neighbors just briefly. Nice shaded lot with a great dock and water area. Arrowhead Lake is amazing with so much territory to explore. Ideal for kayak, canoe, or small boat. Cottage was nicely updated. The area around the lake has very limited food options. A couple small improvements: 1. Paper products were not stocked in the cottage. It was just the two of us and we used up the only roll of TP and most of the only roll of paper towels after a few days. Purchased more and left them for the next renter. My guess is the cleaning service failed to restock. 2. Large barn swallow nest right above main seating area on deck. We relocated our chairs from provided location to avoid being targets. 3. Found the rope hammock in the shed but only one tree hook could be located. Would have been an ideal location for a nap in the hammock. 4. Renter was clear about exterior cameras. We were aware but did not realize how much that would bother us. Just felt strange relaxing on the deck knowing there was a camera looking down at us.Bottom line: very reasonable price for a nice cottage on a wonderful body of water.

A lovely place to get away and relax

We had a very nice stay. The cabin is very nice and even though there is no AC we were able to make due with all the fans it had on the couple of the hot days. The lake is beautiful. We were able to use the kayaks and floats which our hosts were kind of enough to supply. During the evenings we enjoyed the fire pit where we listened to the fish jump and watched the moonlight shimmer on the lake. It really is a beautiful place with a wonderful setting to just sit and relax or keep active/busy with a swim, paddle or walk. We look forward to being able to go back and do it all again.

A lovely stay

We really enjoyed our trip. There is plenty of sleeping area and the finished basement is a relatively separate area. We had 4 but more would have fit comfortably if you are ok with 1 bathroom. (We left one bedroom with 2 full beds untouched) For me the best part was the stand up paddle boards /kayaks so we could get on the water and explore. We had one hot day and one sunny cool day, and didn’t find the house too hot. Other highlights were using the fire pit by the lake, playing a silly game of croquet over the tree roots making it more like mini golf. There is propane for the grill and chopped wood supplied for fires. We found a place for a short hike 11 minutes away.

Great House and Lake location!

We had a great stay at the lakehouse in Limerick, ME! Really gorgeous views, and private dock was a nice touch (and the indoor wood burning stove). The location is definitely remote - we weren't sure how remote it was but if we had a bit better of an idea, we probably would have brought more food so we could cook our meals. Not a huge deal at all, just had to hit up the grocery store unexpectedly! Lake is SUPER clear and has a nice sunset view. Comfortable bed, and a ping pong table in the basement. Definitely recommend.

Summer Getaway

The lakeside home is a great retreat spot. Very quiet, homes on either side but you are not bothered by noise at all. The kayaks and paddleboards are there for use and we used daily. They are a great addition that allows you to get out onto the quiet lake and enjoy the sunshine. The adirondack chairs on the porch are perfect for sitting out with morning coffee and listening to the loons. We would suggest a window AC in the upstairs bedroom for the hotter months. We stayed in late July. The main level was fine with the ample fans provided. The lower level didn't even need fans as the basemen was very cool. The upstairs could reach uncomfortable levels even with fans and we often had people wake up and move to the couch to sleep the rest of the night. We did have a mix up (our end) upon departing and thought we were staying until Sunday. Cleaners showed up just before 10 and text me at 1005 we needed to be out. I reviewed the listing and we scrambled. We were able to be out by 1038 with all dishes done, all bed stripped, and everything put back in its normal place. It was hectic ending to an otherwise great getaway. We would stay again.

Beautiful Property

Took a quick family trip to Maine. First time in the state. This property and house is beautiful. We had great weather. Warm and sunny. Which was perfect. The downfalls that make this place 3/5 are: the windows in the kitchen/dining and main living area do not have screens. No air movement! And it was WARM in there. Cannot imagine what it is like in July. And while I know it is states in the description of the place, I didn’t realize there would be so many cameras outside. It’s more than a little unnerving to think that there are people watching us. While the owners may not be..all I could think is that they were. It was just a little creepy. And..I know the owners have no control over this, but, the house on the corner across the street has multiple large barking dogs. Every time someone came or went from the street they would bark loudly for an extended period. Tried to go for a walk but they have “invisible fence” and the dogs, German shepherd and huskies, would come running to the edge of the property and barked incessantly. The owners indicated they don’t want loud music played or loud talking around a fire because they don’t want anyone disturbed, but I find a pack of hell hounds barking constantly much more disturbing. Otherwise had a great family time. Thanks for letting us use your home to make a memory.

Lake paradise

Perfect home for family relaxing. Cabin was beautiful and stocked and the lake access with boats and paddleboards was awesome. Plenty to do right at the house but also a quick drive to Portland, old orchard beach and other spots. Only flaw was that we didn’t stay long enough!!! Thank you for sharing your home ;) The Bakers

Beautiful place. We all learned how to paddle board with the available toys and sunsets over the water at the fire pit. Couldn’t ask for much more.

would go again

It was a great time for our family to rest and relax! I admittedly was a little worried when we first checked in because it was 97 degrees and VERY hot but the abundance of fans in the home was a welcome relief and the basement sleeping quarters was not nearly as hot. The rest of the week cooled down but the lake remained a perfect temperature and we spent most of the days lazing in/beside the lake. We made good use of the paddle boards and kayaks and fire pit. The kids loved searching for crawfish and naming the one larger fish who tended to reside by the dock. The lake was overall quiet with a few boats passing from time to time. If you have a chance, check out Krista's restaurant 20 minutes away-excellent food! Pleasant mountain hike (ledges trail) is about 45 minutes away and totally worth the 1.5 hour hike up to the top. Our 7 year old did it without trouble. The Saco river tubing co. is about 45 minutes away also and this was a great change for the kids mid week. Cant go wrong here either staying at the home or venturing out to do things close by. We would definitely recommend this home!

Beautiful house on the lake

Wonderful location, yard is well kept and maintained. The fire pit is right by the water and perfectly set up for watching the sunset (plus tons of wood provided). House is well equipped with paddle boards/kayaks to use (which you definitely should). House itself is nice, plenty of space and well updated.
