This is a very centric guest house. Rossio train station us about 5 minutes walk. The rooms are clean and safe. Walking distance from everything in Lisbon. The only condition is that there are no AC in the rooms.

The first description of this hotel should say no AC and no elevator. It is situated in a great area, but the lack of the previous amenities should be up front

Great location, friendly staff, uncomfortable bed, terrible ventilation, no food or drinks, not even coffee or bottled water available for purchase. Perfect for staying one or two nights alone. I was there for a week and it was too long.

At the last minute, from the Athens airport, I booked the last room at Downtown Guest House in Lisbon.. it was a small room with a single bed but very clean. The Wi-Fi was excellent and the front desk allowed me to check in at 12:30 AM since it was a red eye flight from Athens to Lisbon. It was exactly what I needed. A five hour sleeve before setting off on my travels. Very modest but satisfied my need for good price, cleanliness, and good Wi-Fi and location.

Central convenient Hotel in the Lisbon Old town

Our room looked exactly like the picture displayed online. This building is located in the old town, very central from EVERYTHING. But due to its old age, also need some repair/renovation. The staff is very helpful and welcoming. They put a lot of effort in making this building safe for their customers. Our room wasn't equipped with AC, but a fan was provided and we were also able to open windows fully. Checking-in was not very smooth as payment information/confirmation provided through Hotels.com wasn't reflecting the real situation: everything must be paid at the property.

Location is convenient for shopping ,transportation, Sight-seeing. Booking through Expedia did not specify that room has shared bathroom. I skipped many other much more affordable hotels just for that reason: to avoid shared bathroom. For the price of this room you get a prison cell with nothing: no a/c, no tea pot/coffee maker, no toiletries. You get one old durty towel and very small TV.Room was not clean,and bedding was warn out with big strange stainsand smears, pillows are almost empty, deterioratied

Access to rooms is by stairs and no railings. The reception is very tiny and the desk is rarely staffed. Someone always responded to the bell. Only one towel (a bath towel) was provided. The shower water was nice, but the shower enclosure always leaked across the bathroom floor. Soap dispenser at hand sink. Shower - body soap provided in a 62 oz. bottle and very difficult to handle. Bed was ok and everything was clean. Sufficient fresh air through the large balcony doors (no balcony). No air conditioning (it was not needed).
