Pleasant but small
I expected a unit in Alfama to be small and wasn’t surprised that this was. However there seemed to be a lot of old water leaks from the shower and the floor in the bathroom was pretty messed up. Also many cracks in the walls. Only strange thing was there is a slanted ceiling over one side of the bed and you have to be super careful not to crack your head getting in and out. My tall husband couldn’t have slept on that side of the bed. Also the couch was very uncomfortable so there were a couple of stool or the bed to really sit on. There was a clever fold up table to that helped to make efficient use of the space. The kitchen had great gear and the humidifier was a necessity. When the tank was full the room got an awful musky odor (but again expected in Alfama). Perfect location. Not to high up the hill so it was not too much work to get to the room after a full day of walking. Location really made this room.
