The Best Blessed Family Vacation
Our family had the most amazing time at Pretty Creek, one of the best family vacation we have had without my mother, the pool was great, just wished it had lights for night fun, the TV at the dock would have been fun. But we couldn’t get it to work, overall the house was very comfortable, we would consider staying there again We didn’t find the Guestbook, but beautiful home. Blessing, Sarah

Amazing house at Lake Gaston
I've been visiting Lake Gaston for over 20 years and this property was by far the nicest. The amenities are very family friendly and there is nothing that we would have changed. The pool offered a great way to cool off during the afternoons and the dock was great for fishing and swimming. There was tons of space for everyone in the family and the locking back deck doors were great to keep our adventurous toddler safe. We rented a boat and jetski from a nearby business and the dock had excellent tie offs for both. The fire pit was a big hit and offered a perfect view of the lake at sunset. Valerie was a great host and was extremely responsive throughout our stay. We're already planning our return trip and will be counting the days until our next stay!

First Time Lake House Renter
Our first time renting a lake house and we are sold! This home and the decor is charming and welcoming, and very well stocked. From kitchen appliances and necessities to pool toys, beach towels and everything in between. This is an impeccably kept home inside and out with no detail overlooked! Beautiful Property
Beautiful house and property, we especially enjoyed the outdoor space. The covered deck was my favorite space, you could easily watch kids in the pool and enjoy the views of the lake. House was equipped with everything we needed and owner was responsive to any questions we had.

Third Time!!!
This is our third year at this beautiful home and again, we had a marvelous time!! The new addition to the back deck/porch has been fantastic and we spent a great deal of time there. The pool was a hit with the kids and adults and a great way to cool off after a hot day on the lake. Thanks Valerie for your prompt response to our questions and thanks for sharing your home with us! We would give this home 10 stars if we could!!!!

Amazing lake house
This is our second year at the house. We loved it last year but the changes the homeowners made are incredible. The covered deck is very comfortable as well as the dock area and pool. We have already reserved a week for next year.

Best Vacation Ever!
This house was fantastic! The beds were so comfortable, and the house came with clean towels (bath and pool) and sheets. The dock situation was amazing with both covered seating and bar area with TV. The view from the fire pit area was breathtaking. We loved the pool and hot tub as well.

Fantastic vacation home
This house was perfect for our family vacation! The house was well stocked with everything we needed to cook our meals. The pool and dock/lake kept the kids (and adults) entertained every day and evening. The boys fished their hearts out! Ms. Valerie was a wonderful host and responded quickly to all my questions. I highly recommend this property!! We loved it.

Wonderful vacation!
We have stayed in several homes at Lake Gaston over the years and this home was definitely our favorite. The home was beautiful and had everything you would need for an enjoyable vacation. Our family loved cooling off at the pool on all those hot days. Also, enjoyed fishing and hanging out at the dock as well. We definitely hope to vacation here in the future!

Perfect location
9 of us stayed at this property and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The house sits on a quiet finger of the lake. Our kids loved the pool, especially since it was so hot the week we went. The dock was so comfortable and spacious! Every morning was spent sitting there enjoying the peace and quiet with our coffee and fishing was great as well. We caught huge catfish and had ourselves a fish fry that evening. Hint, they love Wonder bread! We didn't even turn on the TV although it was nice that they have one on the dock. We used the kayaks which was so fun. 4 teenagers took the basement which has a beautiful big bathroom, game room and a huge TV. Not too much to do in the area so don't expect to go out to dinner every night or have activities other than renting boats, jet skis, pontoon boats. This is a great place for relaxing. The kitchen was fully stocked and had a spare coffee maker thank goodness. Valerie was easy to get a hold of when there was some minor issues. I loved not having to bring linens. On a side note, is sad to see that some renters don't take care of the houses they rent. I would hope more people feel they need to treat the rentals better than they treat their own homes.

Be sure to try Waterview restaurant, The Pointe, Lake gaston pizza, George’s in Warrenton, Loccuram, Mill Hill Brewery, Bragging rooster, Weldon Mills, Blue Jay restaurant, shady shack, bowling in Roanoke rapids, lake gaston putt putt golf and our local vintage drive in movie theater. Five star vacation
What a positively fabulous vacation home! The pictures simply do not do it justice. The home was beautifully decorated, immaculate, and fully supplied with so many items that made our trip easier. This host thought of everything from pool towels and sunblock, to spices, and even a waffle maker. I have already shared this listing with 3 friends and we will certainly rebook if we make it back to Lake Gaston. We had a relaxing week on the lake but this home was what made it a perfect vacation.

We had a wonderful week at the house. The delightful seating area on the dock was our favorite spot. The pool area was also second. We appreciated the excellent condition and cleanliness of everything. The kids scheduled a movie most evenings in the downstairs home theater. Thank you for sharing your lovely home. We loved our stay
The stay at Pretty Creek was fantastic. The house was very clean and the beds were amazingly comfortable. We spent much of our day in or beside the pool. The dock had a very nice table where we had breakfast every morning and we watched the sunsets in the evening. We rented a boat for a couple days and got to see the rest of the lake. What a beautiful place. My family decided that the lake / boating vacation is better than a beach vacation after this trip. Communication with Valerie was always swift and helpful. We'd love to come back.

Relaxing Stay w Family!
LOVED our stay in Pretty Creek. Valerie answered any of our questions leading up to the trip in a timely manner. We were able to check-in early. The house was clean and FULLY stocked. It was so nice not having to bring ANY linens. Even pool towels were provided. We spent our days at the pool and dock swimming, fishing and kayaking. We brought our own boat and tied up to the dock. Loved being in the cove. Would love to return! Thanks for a wonderful stay. Lots of memories were made at your property!

Pool by the lake
This is an excellent property. It is hard to find a pool by the lake but this has it all. It has a dock, kayaks and a pool. It was nice to have ping pong and darts for a rainy day. We will return!!

We loved everything about this house. Check in was easy (cleaning crew was still there, but that was fine…house was very clean). Well equipped with everything one needs and lots of space for food (two fridges!!). We LOVED the pool and hot tub, best part of the house! And the views from the dock are beautiful! We would definitely rent again!

We had an amazing week at this awesome house . We enjoyed a lot of time at the boat house where we sat and relaxed - we swam from there . We all loved using the kayaks. The pool was wonderful too. Great weekend away
This home was a great getaway for two families of 4. We loved the pool, hot tub and dock. The kids enjoyed the downstairs playroom and that there were plenty of swim floats and toys. Amenities were great as the house was full stocked with everything we needed. Pretty creek is nice and quiet and a great way to relax. We would love to book again.

After a very trying year a vacation was very much needed. Pretty Creek fulfilled this need. Beautiful home on Lake Gaston. Nice built in pool on the lake. House had everything we needed from linens and towels to a fully equipped kitchen including spices. Definitely will stay here again

A perfect week
We had a terrific stay. The house was clean, updated, very well appointed and comfortable. The owner was readily available via text to answer any questions we had. The beds were awesome. The pool was great and the dock was a great place to hang out and fish. Even with the owner's crafts on the lifts, we had room to dock 2 jet skis and a rental boat. We made good use of the brand new fire pit area. Thanks for the use of your beautiful home. We would highly recommend it to anyone

We all enjoyed our vacation very much. This house was perfect for my family and my pet! The house was clean, had everything and more in the kitchen that we could possibly need. Family reflection
This home was perfect for our family vacation. The pictures were excellent to describe the property. The location on the lake was amazing... In a cove. We grilled 3 out of the 7 nights we were there. The pool was crystal clear and clean upon our arrival. We rented a boat one day an was able to take that out and dock at the house. This home was the perfect location for all families... And we would recommend this home to anyone.

A Great Vacation House!
My family and I had a fantastic week at the house. Perfect location right on the lake with a great boat house for plenty of fishing and swimming from. The pool is awesome and was a huge hit with everyone, as was the hot tub at night. The house was clean, with plenty of towels and extra blankets. The ping pong table was also a big hit. Overall, just a great vacation. Valerie, the owner, is very nice and easygoing. She was instantly responsive to one minor issue and had it resolved very quickly. The area itself is very laid-back and not "tourist-y" at all. Very easy to relax here. I most highly recommend this house. We are planning on returning next year!

Great Family Vacation

We enjoyed our stay here. The house had everything we needed and was very cosy. We came during Christmas and there was a tree set up when we came in, that was a very small detail that made such a big impact. We didn't get to use the pool because it was winter but the view was great. We look forward to coming back, hopefully during the summer.

Lovely home, beautiful location
My family spent Thanksgiving vacation in this beautiful home and we had a great time - it was perfect! The owner was immediately available when we had a little trouble getting in, and after that things couldn't have gone better! It was quiet, peaceful, great for taking our medium-sized dog for walks, and our young adult "kids" loved the hot tub. Everything was well-kept, up to date, and truly lovely. Thank you, Valerie!

Lake house family vacation
Thank you Valerie for a lovely stay at your beautiful house on Lake Gaston. My grandchildren had a ball jumping off the dock and the adults had fun sitting at the "crab shack" watching them and the sun set! The house is set up nicely with room for everyone and a large open space to socialize together. The beds are super comfortable and the house was very clean . We loved the art work! We also rented a pontoon boat for the six grandchildren to do some tubing. We highly recommend renting from Stonehouse Timber Lodge, Martha is very helpful. Thanks again for sharing your home with our family. We hope to be back soon!

The perfect house for our annual 4th of July Getaway!
We had 10 people share this house for almost a week - 4 adults and 6 children. The space was perfect for our two families. The older kids slept in the basement, which they loved! The pool was the best part! If we weren't on the boat, the kids were in the pool! The house was clean, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The owner (Valerie) was very easy to work with and her response time was great! We hope to stay here again soon! Thank you Valerie!

Enjoyed our stay and an excellent cove
My wife and I brought our kids here for a week at wonderful Lake Gaston. We also had enough room to have my dad and stepmom join us. The house was very nice and had good-sized rooms. The house was nicely decorated and the fact it had a pool was a huge plus; we enjoyed the pool daily after boating around the lake. The dock also had pretty good fishing, which my kids and I enjoyed. The cove this house sits along is very serene and quiet. It offers (if you're boating) one of the best little 'drives' I've been on at Lake Gaston. Thank you, Valerie, for allowing us to check in early and for opening this great home up for our family vacation.

Just enjoyed a beautiful week-long stay in the Beatty's vacation home on Lake Gaston in Littleton, N. C. The vacation home was all I expected and more. Beautiful setting, spacious living quarters, beautifully furnished with all conveniences. Lots to do and see in the area or just relax at the pool or your dockI. Highly recommend it as the ideal vacation spot for families or couple's retreat etc. I Wii be back.
