Pula is the largest city on the Istrian peninsula and one of the most important tourist cities with plenty to see and explore. Pula was built by Romans in 46 b.c. Although Pula is like an ancient museum in the open, you must also visit the largest monument, the famous amphitheater from the 1st century, located close to the city center. Many events take place here, from concerts and film screenings to sporting events. The Forum with the Temple of August is located in the old town. Here you can also visit the Historical Museum of Istria and the Archaeological Museum of Istria. In the surrounding area you can visit beautiful small Istrian towns, explore natural beaches and go hiking, cycling or diving. You can also try delicious Istrian specialties during your stay.
