Lovely spot in Puglia to unwind

Lovely masseria (farm home) about 10 minutes from the center of Lecce. Pluses are that it is quiet and a bit off the beaten track, but also an easy drive to many of the Puglia sites. The main bedroom is very spacious and the other 2 bedrooms are adequate. Negatives are no washing machine, kitchen is a bit small , and pool is unheated (so that swimming in early June can be a challenge). Furnishings are adequate but not high end. The owner Vincenzo makes a great effort to be accommodating and the folks who manage the property for him are very available to answer all questions and help out. . He arranged a chef one night for us who was fantastic.

interesting Villa although not worth the Price

our experience began with trying to locate the property, which is basically an unmarked Road off of another Road. Having driven past the Trail several times, I finally decided to venture through and GPS did lead me to the property. It is in a secluded area and extremely safe with virtually no neighbors. it is very rustic as described. There is a central house and for smaller houses creating a quad. The smaller houses were very large bedrooms each with its own bathroom and comfortably appointed. The backyard a sebaceous although there was no hot tub. The main house area was full of many relics and interesting paintings however, the furnishings appear like they were purchased from a thrift store. While the property lists itself as friendly, it really should've said "friendly. pet", as there is a resident cat on the premise. We didn't mind at all however, if you're considering renting this property and have an allergy to dander, you may wish to reconsider. 3 of the 4 burners on the stove in the kitchen were working. Unfortunately, there is no way to like to stove. There were 3 igniters that were present, but they have run out of gas and did not work. There is a working dishwasher, however. There was one television in the main seating room which worked nicely however, no audio system for playing music. convenient to many attractions, but not worth the money paid

Piacevole esperienza

La proprietà è immersa nel verde in una zona molto tranquilla. Ambienti esterni ed interni molto belli ma potrebbe essere un po’ più curati. Molto spaziosa e adatta a gruppi numerosi.

Extremely special

We were a group of 13 and were 100% thrilled. The villa was ready upon arrival, we had ordered a catered dinner the night of arrival and we ate everything! The host was helpful and available throughout our stay. The pool was lovely during the heat wave and Mauricio the handyman was there daily to service the grounds. Garden available for amazing vegetables! Fig trees everywhere! As a 15th century building, it has its quirks, but rooms were furnished tastefully, beds were comfortable and this couldn't have been a more pleasant experience. Located minutes from the beach and within an hour of Gallipoli (highly recommended). We will definitely be back. One detail would be helpful is a photograph of the driveway (hard to find) from both directions before arrival. However, once found, you have struck gold!!

Comme un oasis au milieu de nulle part

Un lieu parfait pour se ressourcer et déconnecter, très confortable pour un groupe de 12 à 15 personnes. Nous y avons fait des séances yoga à la tombée du jour absolument divines et lézarder autour de la merveilleuse piscine lac bienvenue aux heures chaudes. Lecce, tout prêt, permet de goûter aux petits bonheurs de l'Italie et plusieurs coins extra à vister aux alentour comme Gallipoli ou Otrante. Notre seul regret est la cuisine un peu petite pour un grand groupe.

Un angolo di paradiso

Non c'è molto da dire.. non ci sono parole per descrivere questa struttura. Per tutto il tempo in cui siamo stati lì dentro (eravamo in 12 tra ragazzi e ragazze), tutto ciò che c'era fuori era davvero lontano dalla mente. Solo vivendola si può capire. Ultimo, non per importanza, i proprietari della struttura, veri e propri professionisti! Da tornarci al più presto.

Perfetto relax

Elegant home in a gorgeous setting

What an elegant property! The photos don’t do it justice at all! The property is absolutely perfect! There is a fruit and vegetable garden... and u can get fresh tomatoes, basil, eggplant, chilli and more. The four main rooms are elegant. It is restored to its original feeling, but with modern requirements. The rooms a tad dark at night, but that didn’t bother us. We had 2 lovely dinners in the house by the pool. Cooked by a chef recommended by Vincenzo... (if you want that— stick to the beef, or eggplant parmigiana for main). The property is immaculate and well taken care of. The pool is cleaned daily..... Vincenzo took good care of us, and stocked up the fridge with breakfast food before we came and Puglia wine. He made some excellent recommendations..?(bar nobile in San cataldo for breakfast, and lido York for beach and yummy Lunch). And he recommended some lovely towns around to visit and beaches. We were 2 families....with four children and enjoyed it tremendously... we would definitely go back. The property is so peaceful and beautiful..... Thank you for a lovely holiday! Dina

Una brutta esperienza

Speriamo in un rimborso parziale del soggiorno visto che delle 5 camere prenotate (tutta la proprietà) ne abbiamo potuto usare solo 3 vista la mancanza di aria condizionata in due di esse. Abbiamo accettato l’assalto dei gatti a tavola. delle api in piscina e siamo andati oltre tutto ma la proprietà, visti i disagi dell’AC avrebbe dovuto offrirsi per un rimborso. Invece siamo partiti nel silenzio più assoluto. Affittare un’in Proprietà per avere 4 giorni di relax ed invece trovarci a dover dormire con i bambini (stessa cosa una coppia di nostri ospiti) ci è dispiaciuto molto.

Immense propriété, chaque couple peut avoir son intimité. S'il y a un problème, le service est rapide. Julia est très efficace. Les personnes responsables sont très accueillantes et charmantes. Wow!! Unbelievable experience!!! We loved this house!!

This property was absolutely AMAZING!! The hospitality we received from the moment we arrived till the moment we left was first class. I learned the phrase "casa tua" meaning "your house" and that's exactly how Vincenzo, Carina and Emmanuel made us feel during our stay. Because of the central location, we were able to visit so many beaches and towns on both coasts and saw so much of what puglia had to offer. There was more than enough sleeping room for my family (2 adults, 4 kids) and friends (2 adults , 1 kid) and 1 of the 4 bedrooms was not even used. Breakfast Made fresh every morning by Emmanuel was a great surprise and the spread was outstanding. I can't say enough good things about this trip. Gratzie, Gratzie, Gratzie a te Vincenzo!

Le gîte est splendide, immense et très calme. Les chambres sont très spacieuses et décorées avec beaucoup de goût. La pièce à vivre est très conviviale et chaleureuse grâce à la chaîne hifi et au large choix de CDs. Vincenzo est un hôte accueillant et très serviable. Un tout petit bémol cependant mais lié au fait que le gîte est ouvert depuis peu , l'équipement de la cuisine est incomplet: couverts de service, casseroles et poêles en nombre insuffisant; nous l'avons dit à Vincenzo. Nous recommanderons ce gîte à nos amis

Un ottimo inizio

Abbiamo avuto il piacere di inaugurare questa splendida struttura in occasione delle vacanze di Capodanno, siamo stati i primi ospiti!! Venivamo da Roma e abbiamo affittato l'intera proprietà. Il livello complessivo della struttura è perfettamente corrispondente alle aspettative suscitate da quanto offerto e descritto sul sito, addirittura superiore, L'accoglienza e l'assistenza sono stati di piena soddisfazione e la cortesia e la disponibilità di Vincenzo, l'architetto proprietario e ideatore della ristrutturazione dell'antico complesso, ci hanno consentito di passare delle bellissime giornate nonostante i rigori del clima della fine dell'anno (ottima la climatizzazione). La struttura coniuga ambienti architettonicamente molto piacevoli tra tradizione e innovazione, a funzionalità, modernità e efficenza (notevole l'impiego di fonti energetiche rinnovabili fotovoltaiche ed eoliche, fibra ottica). Belli gli arredi. Gli spazi esterni privati dei mini appartamenti e gli spazi esterni comuni, bellissima la piscina esterna che dato il clima non abbiamo però potuto utilizzare, disegnano e si immergono nell'ambiente rurale tipico del Salento tra muri a secco, olivi, fichi, piante grasse e vegetazione tipica della zona. La zona soggiorno comune, in gran parte dotata di spledide vetrate che danno continuità con gli spazi esterni, è molto amplia e consente sia di socializzare che di svolgere attività in autonomia. La cucina è attrezzata con apparati industriali che abbiamo utilizzato per il cenone di Capodanno (eravamo, compresi gli ospiti, 28 persone comodamente sistemate nel grande soggiorno!). La localizzazione: nella campagna salentina, sotto le stelle, a 10' dal centro di Lecce, a 15' dalle spiagge di San Cataldo sull'adriatico e a 25' da quelle joniche di Porto Cesareo e a mezz'ora da Otranto. Cosa manca? Tornarci in primavera e in estate! per la ristorazione consigliamo tre "must" della zonache abbiamo rivisitato per l'ennesima volta : Le Zie - Cucina casareccia a Lecce (cucina salentina) - circa 27-30 euro Zia Ferdinanda a Otranto (pesce e cucina salentina) dall'antipasto al dolce con buon vino della casa 37 euro Osteria del pozzo vecchio a Cavallino (cucina salentina di carne, pesce e verdure) 35 euro. Nuova splendida gestione con attenzione speciale per materie prime a vero km 0
