“Unbelievable gem of a place! So good I don't want anyone else to know about it so we can return whenever we want 😂 Hosts Jane & Bec are brilliant plus the onsite Cat is a true gentleman offering warm snuggles and purrs and not forgetting some Doggo kisses. We couldn't have asked or appreciated anything better, this place has completely stolen our hearts. We have loved our stay so much we were lucky enough to extend our stay by a couple of nights, beautiful decking area to sit out with a cup……

“Gorgeous location overlooking the sea and across road from sea. Peole snorkeling About 15 mins walk from the centre. Lovely quaint rooms and nice tea and coffee. Very safe area. But note if you are back after ten you have to take you key with heavy tag on or wait for ages for someone to let you in”

“We had a lovely spacious room with a comfortable bed, a bonus was the beautiful views of the river through the wide full height windows. Only downside was the lack of a cooked breakfast which is not available. There isn’t a table in the room so we had to sit on the single chair and blanket box to eat the cereals provided, not ideal when you want to fortify yourself for the SWCP walk. They also didn’t service the room which meant we had to wash the cereal bowls and cups in the bathroom sink……

“the day before i emailed and asked to confirm if the electric car charger was working, told response would be 24 hours, no reply. got to the hotel and looked very dated, then i was told one out of the two rooms was not ready as the was busy with a wedding the day before, so went to one room and paint falling off the ceiling, very dated and floor boards squeaked and rocked. went back to the receptions and asked if i could cancel our rooms and get a full refund, i was told the manager would not……

“It was as nice as our memory of our first stay, when the sun shines there is only one place to be - on the terrace. Having said that it is very comfortable to be inside. It is a very friendly place to be to enjoy Cornwall.”

“Our room has the best view looking out to the beautiful Gyllngvase Beach and it is just around 8 mins walk to it. Nice breakfast and staff, room is clean and have everything you need. Town centre is also within walking distance.”

“Preis-Leistung ist in Ordnung. Das Hotel hätte sehr viel Potential. Ist wunderschön gelegen und hat charme. Leider ist es wirklich in die Jahre gekommen und wirkt dadurch teilweise etwas ungepflegt. Am Morgen um 8 Uhr stand unangekündigt jemand vor unserem Fenster und hat die Fenster geputzt. Ein doch eher unangenehmes erwachen. Ansonsten ist das Personal freundlich und hilfsbereit.”

“We had a really lovely garden room with little private patio area which we loved. Overall the property is slightly dated but in all honestly we found it charming. The gardener keeps the grounds beautifully maintained and the food is absolutely superb. Will, the restaurant manager is amazing but all the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. There are a few negative things but tbf the positives far outweigh them so I'm not going to mention them apart from if you're less than fit the walk into……
